Today was a tough day. Today it was getting so hard for me to concentrate that I wasted two hours in making myself concentrate. Though the timer is without the wasted time. Good point is that I completed 3 chapters 😁. Now me feeling hungry. Bye.

Editing my thesis at the library café ☕
26.5.19 I did my first exam! I didn’t say straight away because I was feeling a bit funny about it, but now I’m revising for my second and last ever exam of uni! Also who knows groovy chick?? My mum got me these amazing groovy chick socks. X Emily
It’s so important to keep study notes that might be useful in the future! Reblogging this because the notes I was making here, are the same notes I’m using for my current postgraduate essay.
14.01.21// my current study space and on the way to my favourite study place in Canterbury. Really missing this these days, it’s wild that it’s almost been a year since we left England!

My breakfast this morning + my newest read, Socialism: A Very Short Introduction. This series of books is published by the Oxford University Press and they cover a vast number of topics! I recently bought a few on topics that interest me or that I want to know more about. So far I’m really enjoying it and finding it very informative!
02.10.20 | The most university student habit ever is believing that for every ailment there some winning combination of ibuprofen, tea, and water that will surely make it go away.

Online uni means a lot of reading, finally getting things done for my dissertation and running in between to get rid of the anxiety. Hope you are all safe and taking care of yourselves.

will attempt to revise all day for my exam tomorrow, mildly panicking but all is well😝
my blog is, and always will be, a safe place for people who are not confident in their english speaking abilities. you will never be judged or mocked here.
1) Your English is probably better than you think it is. I’ve read many posts that ended with something along the lines of “sorry for my bad English” and was surprised because it was worded exactly the way a native English speaker would word it.
2) The main purpose of language is to communicate. Even if communication is a little awkward, as long as we can understand what the other person is trying to say, there’s no need for it to be perfect.
3) You speak English better than I can speak your language.
4) You speak English better than I can speak English .
5) Being able to speak a second language at all is a huge achievement and something most of the people ragging on “bad English” are incapable of themselves. You’re doing great.
6) “bad English” suggests there’s such a thing as “good English”….and have you SEEN this language? We just live like this.
my new purchases — some stationery + this super cute glass ✨ i guess this is kind of like a reward for myself for finishing the semester yay (although i’m not officially done ahsjdkd). one more paper!!!!!
29 | Running low on ink and sleep, but like, that’s my standard setting so. Pretty much firing at 100 here.
18/02/17 || bag is packed, last batch of notes complete, o-week is planned. best of luck to everyone starting their first year of university like me! we can do it! :)
stay motivated x
15 things students should appreciate
1. the first time you use your new markers and stationary 2. sitting outside in the sun during a break between classes 3. a good coffee-to-go in your hand during a long lecture at uni 4. unlimited free books in your university library 5. student discount while shopping in many big shops (like forever21) 6. a neatly organized and healthy filled lunchbox, prepared the night before 7. classical music in the background while studying 8. walking through the university hallways surrounded by busy crowds of motivated young people with big dreams 9. being fortunate to be able to study 10. professor’s with quirky personalities and jokes 11. endless possibilities, still waiting in the future 12. cosy study sessions with friends 13. creativity in fashion, food and home decor because of little money 14. sleeping in and spending time at home/in your dorm because you don’t work a full job yet 15. dinner nights that involve cooking with fellow student friends and drinking cheap wine on weekdays

26.09.20 / i set aside some journal time this morning and i feel refreshed! as i go through the week, sometimes it feels like there are strings inside me getting all tangled up. when i write on my journal, i’m able to unravel the tension and start fresh. in other news, i found these tiny crates on clearance the other day. they’re perfect for my never ending quest to categorize everything haha. how’s your saturday so far? hope you’re well ♡
