I don’t quite know how to articulate this but I do not know if we have ever seen the complete rabid fanfare that young girls are giving to Taylor Swift geared towards a woman before. Like maybe(?) Hannah Montana but I don’t think that went as crazy as Taylor is right now. . But like… Elvis, The Beatles, even more modern iterations like early 2000’s boy bands; hell even One Direction or Jonas Brothers brand of insanity. That kind of thing has never really been centered around a woman before. I’ve seen at least 4 kids in a woman’s merch every time I leave the house before. and I think it is so fucking beautiful that the thing that young girls love most in the world right now is someone who is not only fun, but who can teach them about feelings and girlhood and how to be The Man etc etc etc is just soooooo fucking special.
