Whump prompt no. 62
Whumpee is extremely ill or injured. Caretaker is convinced that they will not make it. Preparing for the seemingly inevitable heartbreak, they try to distance themselves from Whumpee. Whumpee, on the other hand, in their suffering, craves for Caretaker’s comfort and tenderness, and wonders what they did wrong to make them angry.
whumpee had once wronged caretaker. while being rescued, they were so very afraid that caretaker would choose to avenge it.
Whumpee barely lifted their head from where they laid sprawled on the cold floor when the door opened, casting harsh light over their battered body. They merely braced themself for the inevitable kick or hit.
Instead, they heard an all too familiar voice exclaim, "Whumpee?!"
Immediately they flinched back, slowly turning their head to look at Caretaker. Caretaker, who they had hurt and wronged and betrayed. Caretaker, who was now here to get their revenge, to finally finish Whumpee off.
"Please," Whumpee rasped, their thin voice barely carrying to them.
Caretaker rushed forward. "Hey, hey, Whumpee, don't worry, you're okay now."
Whumpee just rested their head against the floor, a breathless sob escaping them. "I'm sorry... Caretaker, I'm so sorry."
Caretaker kneeled down next to them, slowly trying to pick Whumpee up. "Shhh, Whumpee, it's fine. I- I've forgiven you. Just breathe." Their voice sounded oddly choked, and when Whumpee glanced up at them, they found tears in Caretaker's eyes.
Whumpee leanes their head back against Caretaker as they were carried out, their body singing with pain. "Please, forgive me... Caretaker... I'm so sorry."
Whump prompt no. 61
Whumpee is too exhausted and injured to wash themselves, so Caretaker carries them into a bathtub and helps them bathe. In the middle of the bath, Whumpee starts to panic, and Caretaker cannot calm them down with just words. Caretaker climbs into the bathtub, fully clothed, and holds Whumpee tightly against their chest, petting their hair and whispering words of comfort into their ear.

What's your favorite 'Bad Caretaker' tropes?
I usually enjoy a good caretaker more than a bad, but I have a few!
- Caretaker is oblivious to how bad Whumpee is feeling until Whumpee hits a tipping point (throwing up, fainting or whatnot) and now Caretaker feels guilty while they help them
- Caretaker betrays Whumpee in the name of keeping them safe (i.e. drugging them so they can’t go on a dangerous excursion)
- Caretaker isn’t familiar with Whumpee’s ailment so they’re freaking out, scrambling around and generally not actually being helpful at all
- Caretaker snaps at Whumpee for pestering them while they’re busy, and doesn’t think to apologize until it’s too late
- Caretaker has their phone silenced and misses Whumpee’s urgent calls
TLDR: Anything where Caretaker has to suffer guilt after the fact while they’re caring for the whumpee, knowing they should have -- or could have -- treated them better 👌
What about someone who comes home after they’ve just had like…a really bad fall. Nothing horribly serious, but they’re bruised up pretty bad, bloody scrapes all over their hands and knees, maybe a sprained ankle or wrist. Palms shredded. Hurts to put weight on one leg. And by the time they get home they’re just whimpering, almost in tears, because even though they know it’s not too bad, it really hurts a lot. And of course Caretaker is waiting for them at home and frets over the sight of them, gently sitting them down and dabbing at their cuts and scrapes, putting ice on a bruised ankle. Just…gentle and nonserious but still painful whump.
Whumpee was taken from Caretaker A, held hostage for a long while, and then rescued by a stranger, Caretaker B. The injuries they sustained while they were with Whumper gave them amnesia. They never knew there was a Caretaker A to return to, so they stayed to recover and live a new life with B.
When A finally tracks them down after all this time of grief, it breaks their heart when Whumpee shies away toward B. All they can remember is that the last moments they were with A (the day of their kidnapping), Whumpee was absolutely terrified. All they can associate A with is fear.
With that said, B comes to the conclusion that they can’t trust A and tells them to leave. But A hasn’t spent all this time and all this desperate, maddening heartache just to give up now. They’re getting their Whumpee, the real Whumpee back – even if it means getting B out of their way.
Whump prompt no. 60
Whumper turns down the heating in the basement they keep Whumpee, causing them to start shivering. They get colder and colder - and the only warmth available in their cell is the Whumper’s arms.

Whumpee and Caretaker have escaped from their whumper and have returned to their team safely ( they've already somewhat recovered). But one day whumper comes to the team's base to apologize to both whumpee's, because now the whumper's team has turned against the whumper. How would the whumper apologize?
(I'm sorry this ask is so long) Note: whumper is the type to punish then comfort right after, their punishments weren't that harsh unless they got fed up with one of the whumpee's (cutting, stabbing, shock collar, metal restraints).

Hmm, I think it might depend on a couple of factors: what kind of person Whumper is, and what their motivations were to hurt them.
If I don’t understand your ask incorrectly, I could see the Whumper go with bit of a manipulative route, telling Whumpee and Caretaker that they clearly always had their best interest in mind, that they didn’t really want to hurt them (remember? I always made sure you were comfortable afterwards).
Whumpee could try to tell them that their motivations were pure, that they didn’t hurt them just because they like hurting others, that there was an actual reason behind their actions (or that they were manipulated into doing what they did.) This could be true, or a desperate attempt to get sympathy.
Also, if that fits your Whumper, they could also be sincerely sorry, and act accordingly. Maybe no longer being surrounded by their team has lead them to realize that what they were doing was wrong. They could even resort to begging for the Whumpee and their team to be better, to have mercy on them.

Yes, you can follow me if you are a minor if you want to, as long as you note that this blog is mostly intended for adults (and written by an adult, i’m 24), so that the content might be pretty heavy sometimes.

Whumpee isn’t exactly a saint. They aren’t truly evil, either, but they have done some shady stuff. In their eyes, Caretaker is an actual saint though, and they feel absolutely undeserving of their care. In addition to taking care of Whumpee’s wounds, Caretaker has to spend time convincing Whumpee that they deserve to be saved.
Caretaker and Whumpee are in freezing conditions, and Caretaker has just realized they can see the cloud from their own breath in the air, but not Whumpee’s.

Whump prompt no. 58
Whumpee is extremely scared of all human contact due to their trauma. Every time Caretaker touches them (and they have to, eventually, since Whumpee is wounded and completely unable to take care of themselves) they flinch horribly, like someone had shocked them with electricity.
After a while Caretaker gets used to it, and while they feel bad for Whumpee, the flinching no longer stops them from doing the things that must be done. Unfortunately, they get too used to the flinching - they no longer realize when they are accidentally hurting Whumpee.
