everyone’s an asshole guys it’s okay to like a character as long as you recognize that they are, in fact, a huge asshole that has done a lot of huge asshole things
ava- willfully murdered an ENTIRE ROOM of people and doesn’t regret a second of it
maggie- literally beat ava up at the beginning of the comic and continues to verbally abuse her and talk shit about her, probably abuses tuls seeing as how he’s actively trying to avoid her, tried to kill ava and odin by crashing odin’s ship, keeps on lying about having a demon
odin- was planning on abandoning ava on a planet all by herself where she’d probably die
gil- so dedicated to his religion that he fails to see the evil that titan has done
wrathia- spent 15 years ruining ava’s life and driving all of her friends away in an attempt to get her to commit suicide, then blamed ava for being born
pedri- wants odin to die
actually tuls and nevy don’t seem that bad but you see my point what we also have to understand is, they’re all assholes for a REASON.
ava- was trapped in a machine and watched someone getting ripped apart and put back together, then got so terrified that she drank a vial without knowing exactly what it would do, which stripped her of emotional restraints and caused her to murder all the followers for not saving her from the machine
odin- is trying to complete a mission for olai, we don’t know why yet but i’d imagine it’s a good reason
maggie- was verbally and physically abused by ava (who was possessed by wrathia) for years and probably attempted suicide because of it, just wants to be loved and respected
gil- the followers literally saved his life
wrathia- wants to be powerful enough to get her empire back
pedri- also probably wants to get his empire back and see his wife again
nobody in this webcomic is a good person. but nobody in this webcomic is an asshole just for the sake of being an asshole either. they’re all extremely complex and well-written, and i’m amazed at how good of a job michelle is doing.
