Good for you, Tim. Still not sure why you’re starring in this title instead of Terry, though.

Batman Beyond #4 Rating: No change. Hey Dan! Remember last year when Futures End came out every week? Remember how after 48 weeks, it sort of ended in unsatisfying failure? The part of it that I really liked was the part where it ended. I’d had enough of Brother Eye dominating the world. I’d grown sick of a DC Universe’s future where all of the heroes had ultimately failed to stop a computer in space. So I kind of resent that the story is continuing. This is the future DC comics wants to maintain as the “real” future of the DC Youniverse? If so, it sucks. In thirty five years, everybody will have failed and it’s up to Tim Drake and Barbara Gordon and a handful of other heroes to save what’s left of the world. Is what’s left really worth saving? Maybe they should try going back in time again and keeping this shitty ruined future from ever happening. Although it says a lot about how DC Comics views their universe and its heroes. Apparently they have no confidence in any of them except for Batman. And they want the readers to know it by introducing this future into continuity. “Hey look! Superman and Cyborg and Wonder Woman suck! Ultimately they’re not the heroes you thought they were! But Batman survived! Sort of! He’s the greatest!” This is the worst version of the future DC could come up with and it’s the one they choose for their timeline. Idiots.
Eee! Tess Ate Chai Tea, Abridged Review of Batman Beyond #4 (via tessatechaitea)
if they say these lines in BvS “You know, we never did get to finish our dance.” “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I WILL DIE AND DCCU WILL OWN ME FOREVER
The evolution of the Bat-Family:
Bruce Wayne (Batman) in the first column, with a brief absence due to his presumed death, after which he returns as at Bat. Once retired, Bruce passes the torch to Terry McGinnis, last column.
Dick Grayson (Robin-Nightwing-Batman) in the second column, starts as the 1st Robin, goes on to become Nightwing, dons on the Batman cape in Bruce’s absence, and returns to Nightwing once he’s back.
Barbara Gordon (Batgirl-Oracle) in the third column, the 1st Batgirl. After the Joker shoots her in the spine, she continues helping the team from her wheelchair, now as Oracle.
Jason Todd (Robin-Red Hood) in the fourth column, is the 2nd Robin, who is killed by the Joker. Resurrected (like all “dead” comic book characters) Jason becomes Red Hood (and *MAJOR SPOILER! this guy MAJOR SPOILER!*) turns against Batman for not avenging his apparent death (which in his view, would be killing Joker), but still collaborates with the team on some occasions.
Tim Drake (Robin-Red Robin) in the fifth column, is the 3rd Robin, who becomes Red Robin once Bruce disappears, and goes on a world-wide search for his missing mentor.
Cassandra Cain (Batgirl-Black Bat) in the sixth column, is the 2nd Batgirl, that goes on to become Black Bat (operating in Hong Kong) once Bruce disappears, and passes the Batgirl title to Stephanie Brown.
Stephanie Brown (Spoiler-Batgirl) in the seventh column, starts off as Spoiler (because she was spoiling her father’s crime plots), and goes on to become the 3rd Batgirl, after Cassandra Cain moves to Hong Kong as Black Bat.
Damian Wayne (Robin) in the eighth column, is the 4th Robin, son of Bruce and Talia al Ghul, grandson of Ra’s al Ghul, and trained by the League of Assassins. He becomes Robin while Bruce is gone, hence he starts as Dick Grayson’s Robin, but continues in that role when his father returns.
That is where the current story stands, and who knows where it goes from here (especially with DC’s new-earth comics), however we know who ends up being Batman in the future:
Terry McGinnis (Batman) in the ninth column at the very bottom, is the future Batman, who takes over the role once Bruce is too old for the job. Is some comic issues placed in a possible future, Damian Wayne wears the Batman Beyond suit, presumably taking over his pop’s hobby.
I’m one of those Tim fans who doesn’t think Tim would ever become Batman.
Because Batman isn’t for Tim. That isn’t why he became Robin. He became Robin to fill a roll that was needed, to do some good, and he had every intention of hanging it up once he was done. Things just got…carried away. And when it comes to Batman, there are plenty of others besides Tim who can carry that weight. So I don’t think he’d want it.
Instead, I see him working with proxy and Oracle as a part time helper. A job that makes him retired, but not fully. Or working the com like Alfred and Julia for the Titans. That, I can see fitting Tim.
I think it’s a happier ending for a boy who never wanted to become Batman in the first place.

Earth-12
With a timeline running slightly in advance of Earth-0, this is the near-future world of Batman’s successor Terry McGinnis and his JUSTICE LEAGUE BEYONG allies, GREEN LANTERN, SUPERMAN, WARHAWK, AQUAGIRL, BIG BARDA, MICRON and others. Together they face the threats of an untamed future reality!
“It should have been mine.”
I love Tim Drake, but why the fuck is he Batman Beyond? Where’s Terry? It would be a much cooler story if he got flung into the future and teamed up with Terry and stayed Robin or Red Robin, so we can see how Terry works with a Robin.
Always
Review: Batman Beyond Sneak Peek (2015)
So a very quick review on the quick series. I’ll list the synopsis, the good, the bad and the worries and hopes and a final score. If no one wants to deal with this, I’ll tag this as Batman Beyond 2015 and read more it for those who don’t want to deal with it. Spoilers ahoy, time for a look.
Continuar lendo
As a long time fan of Batman Beyond (Batman Beyond Unlimited and Beyond Universe) i think they are making a huge mistake. They should have separated this new issue from the original serie, because, in my opinion, this new thing is confusing.
ugh. So…I was really excited about the new Batman Beyond. But if it’s not going to be Terry, I’ll pass.
What’s next for Terry McGinnis after THE NEW 52: FUTURES END?
So I read this article, and maybe I am just a sad pathetic Tim Drake fan who just wants more for him than DC cares to give, but I am not convinced that Tim isn’t somehow very involved in this new Batman Beyond.
I don't know. I'm a big fan of Batman Beyond and we all know that Terry is a very popular character. Because of that i don't think DCU is gonna kill him so easily, especially after ending the Batman Beyond digital serie. So, besides of the fact that i love Tim (not as much as i love terry, hehe), i don't belive he'll be the next Batman Beyond.
OMFG!!! I can’t belive it! Terry is back! Beyond Universe is back! And it iS THE future of DCU.
But it won’t be the same and that upsets me.
I don’t know if there will be the future Justice League that I’ve grown to love. will there be an Inque or a Melanie or a Nissa?
How much will change? How much will be the same? I am excited for a new series and yet I feel like it being solidly brought into the DCU will destroy what Batman Beyond means to me.
I tried so hard to continue reading Future’s End but I had to stop. It was too much for me to handle. Hopefully, I’ll like this new series.
Yes, sadly it won’t be the same (starting from the future justice league, since some leaguers- such as Warhawk/Aquagirl/Kai-ro- only belong to DCAU). But, when Batman Beyond ended i was so disapointed. I felt like something that i loved for so long had been taken from me. So, even knowing it won’t Be the same, i hope ill like it (for the sake of the last 12 years of loving, batman beyond and DCAU)
Terry McGinnis since 1999.
So DC has an Israeli woman playing Wonder Woman, a Pacific Islander playing Aquaman, an openly queer actor playing the Flash, as well as casting the character of Cyborg.
Well DC…
