i’m active i guess haha i’ve been shitty about being on recently since my schedules been out of whack and i just gotta outta school. but i do try and at least check up on here p frequently along with a few other blogs and i’m trying to not let replies sit for too long.

^^ No worries, I totally know the feeling! Between a personal life and school replies can get hard, especially with multiple blogs. But at least you check in though. A lot of blogs just drop off the face of tumblr and never check in again. -_-

hahaha yeah i’ve been guilty of that at lot in the past i’ll admit. it’s easier then on some other blogs for me to do bank since we’re p close in personality so i don’t need to always be in the right zone which is what killed a lot of my other ones. i’d like to keep bank alive he’s my gorgeous trash son i love him.

Shouldn't we use female pronouns for Jakotsu?

No. Jakotsu doesn’t identify as female, has never stated anything of the sort and is basically stated at multiple times and coded as an effeminate gay man.

His genderbending style and a general aversion to open gay characters lands us in these shitty situations where he’s voiced by women and assumed by fans to be a women.

Just because he dresses and acts in what is considered a feminine manner doesn’t mean he identifies as female. Like, if he did at minimum Bankotsu and maybe Renkotsu would use female pronouns or at least talk to him about it once or twice. Bankotsu and Jakotsu are really close if Bankotsu isn’t calling him ‘sister’ or ‘she’ then it’s not a thing.

Jakotsu’s gender is a topic that really pisses me off bc it’s really not handled well, he’s very much a male yet he gets an obviously female voice actor and people just assume shit like wears makeup + women’s clothes + likes inuyasha +female voice (depending on version) = woman. He’s not female, rumiko takahashi decided to actively not make him female, he’s never said anything that would hint to him being female, he’s not female. Using female pronouns for him ain’t cute since it could easily get derogatory really quick since there’s still that whole gay = effeminate = female = weird/bad mindset in the world. And while he’s fictional and can’t get his feelings hurt there’s a lot of people who aren’t and can.

            There was a uneasiness to the air around Nuriko.             As golden hues rested on the scenery  around her,             she couldn’t help but notice in how different this             world was compared to her own. 

            Had his friends come with her? Or was he on his             own? Questions hung over head but no answer             would appear. For now it would seem that she was             stuck here.  

            When his neck craned to the side, she finally             noticed a figure in the distance. ❝Who’s there?❞

Bankotsu shifted his attention from the road he was debating on taking to the voice that had called out from somewhere nearby. He spotted the speaker not much farther up the hill. A Woman? They sounded kind of like one and from what he could see of them they kind of looked like one. It didn’t really phase him either way.

Since strangers where more fun then trip planning Bankotsu made his way over to them calling out  as he did. 「Bankotsu, leader of the band of seven Who are you?」

He stopped a little more than a swing of Banryuu away, a much more comfortable distance to talk than before but still gave him room to maneuver.
