Had a discussion with @we-dont-talk-about-sal the other day what breed of dogs the Mafia 2 boys would be

I’m so for Joe being the golden retriever energy, friendly and always there full of energy 

Mix a bit of Akita Inu into it with loyalty and you have Joe Woofbaro

Henry is Siberian Husky, 100%.. They look cool but noisy AF, get them to groomer and suddenly you have screaming toddler terrified of water (gives me Henry’s getting shot energy)

Vito.. He’s a chihuahua.. Picks on bigger dogs even tho he can’t win, but just for the stan of standing up for himself, loyal lap dog that will sleep beside you all night long

you know, i feel like something we haven't talked a lot about is the fact that henry pushes for joe and vito to join the family incredibly fast. joe's probably done a little more but vito's done two jobs for him and it goes straight to "after this third one you can be taken in." that's so fast, dude! he's known joe for like...a couple months at the absolute most, probably, and he's known vito for all of ten days. i don't have a great reference for how long this would take in real life, but given how serious it is, i don't think it would be nearly that short of a timeframe. and i'm almost certain henry was the one to suggest it to luca and that he didn't know luca was gonna pull that entry fee thing, so i really do think this is done deliberately because he wants some kind of insurance against luca trying to kill his new friends.

Err... Don't think Vito's a morning person, cause he doesn't seem like loves to be woken up early in the morning in game (like me). Joe definitely could get up very early like at 7am to me.

one thing about pepe i think about a lot is also something i think vito would also struggle with, and it's after being in prison for so long and finally getting out how daunting it must've been to try and be a functioning member of society again. after spending such a long time getting bossed around and being forced to live a very specific routine every day for years, it's kinda hard to be yourself to an extent. once you're out almost everything is at your disposal, you can have a stable income, unlike how you have it in prison. and in prison during the 1920s and '30s and '40s guards were absolutely ruthless, everything was put into order according to them. so suddenly having a fuckton of options to pick from when buying something or ordering something, it becomes stressful. it's worse for pepe after being in there for over double as long as vito was, but i can imagine it'd still be just as awful for vito since not only did he have prison to go through but he was also in the war. and being in the war is like being in prison in a way, having your clothes given to you, having only a select few options of what to eat and a routine to follow even if you hate it. for vito and pepe i feel like joe, leo, and frank are really the only things keeping them from completely falling apart.

not only all that, but also just them seeing the advancement of technology and man after getting out. i mean pepe went from seeing some of the first cars ever made to seeing nice 1950's muscle cars. and vito along the same lines. so many things changed in such a short amount of time in the early 1900's, and i think it'd be one hell of a shock you know. it's interesting to think about, because everything would be so vastly different from when they came in to when they got out. it would be just as bad for the both of them but one thing that gets me is for vito in particular. how vito went to war when he was still just a kid basically, and his friendship with joe was put on hold. vito went to the place where he was born, joe was at a place where he was continuing to grow. they're around the same age but vito is younger than him mentally i think. their friendship continued when he came back home but then vito went to prison, once again their friendship was put on hold, for vito at least. joe was growing up, seeing the world change, understanding its changes, while vito was forced to see the world from a certain point of view and not his own. by 1951 joe had watched the world change from the start of his life until then, but vito had his father, the war and prison. joe can see the good in everything but vito and pepe can't stop thinking like soldiers.

Aye! New idea coming in! But gonna have to wait until ch 1 comes out (sorry). Give a hint tho, ch 2 when Vito talks about finding a "nice" girl and settling down...let's just say what if Joe didn't stop Vito from doing that??? And it slowly ends up in a nightmare? But it starts off sweet and like he made the right choice, but gradually goes downhill (like way downhill)??? I don't wanna give too much away but, what if there's a reason why Joe didn't want Vito to settle down just yet? Y'know? (Not talking ships here, but could look at it that way).

Anyways, you'll see in ch 1 soon.
