Isaiah 41:10 NIV "Fear Not" "Be Not Affraid" ""Do Not Be Affraid" "Do Not Fear" "I Will Fear No Evil" The bible tells us, in one way or another, not to fear over 150 times. Add in the verse about despair, worry, anxiety and peace and you can literally read a verse a day for a year and not run out of reminders from God that we are to have confidence, in him, that we are protected by the creator of all things. God said let there be light and it happened with only one mention. Yet God knows us well enough to know that we need a daily reminder to put our faith, trust and hope in him. There are many lists compiled with the different variations of this theme available online. If fear and worry are a problem, I would encourage you to print one out and make it a part of your daily prayer life to read and meditate on just 1 each day. (at Barbwyr Inn)

Do you feel like you have been abandoned? Like no one cares? Have you cried out like David only to feel forsaken? It's okay to tell God that this is how you feel. You would be wrong in your assessment but none the less God wants to hear it so he can walk you through it. (Credit of word and inspiration to the Incredible Frizzel's from this morning's session on prayer) God has never nor will he ever leave you lost and abandoned but sometimes we manuever our way into things he lets us work our way out of to grow and mature us. We can't see the end result...but He can. The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. "Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake," 2 Corinthians 2:10 NIV "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." Matthew 6:14‭-‬15 NIV Unforgiveness (holding a grudge) is a very on sided act. You harbor ill feelings in your heart over something the other person probably has forgotten, if they even knew. "A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. Out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks." Luke 6:45 NIV If your heart is filled with evil, negativity, unforgiveness, even the kindest people will feel the overflow of your unforgiving heart. Forgiveness doesn't however require a second side. If you forgive someone, they don't necessarily need to know it. Unless of course they have asked for it and you have refused. The simple act of letting God handle the rest after you have forgiven someone removes the one sided burden you've carried. "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you." Colossians 3:13 NIV Is there someone who has unknowingly held you captive to unforgiveness? Let it go...God is big enough to handle our petty differences and even our major meltdowns.
