Hi! Hope I'm not bothering you.
First of all, I saw one of your last posts... I'm really sorry, I literally stopped what I was doing to pray for you and your family.
I had a request, but it's totally understandable if you can't fulfill it. You're wellbeing is the priority right now.
I'd like to request prompt 30 from Fluff list for Lamine Yamal. But zero pressure, I just hope you and your family are okay.
・❥・a/n: WE'RE BACK EVERYONE. I'm so glad to be writing again I really missed it. Thank you all for the sweet messages, it means a lot to me. I love every single one of you really ❤️
30. “What are you doing up?” “My personal heater went away.”
Storms were never her favorite. The noise, the flashes of light, the way the air seemed more tense. It all left her feeling uneasy. No matter how many times she told herself it was just weather, something about them always made it hard for her to relax.
That night in Barcelona, the storm outside was relentless. It made the windows rattle and the whole apartment shiver. She laid in bed beside Lamine, staring at the ceiling while he fell in deep sleep, his breaths slow and steady.
She wished she could do the same. But every crack of thunder made her heart jump. Every flash of lightning pulled her further from sleep.
Frustrated and restless, she slipped out of bed as quietly as possible, thinking that maybe a glass of water would help.
She padded quietly into the kitchen wrapping her arms around herself to calm down. The storm sounded even louder away from the safety of the blanket...and Lamine.
As she poured herself a cup of water, soft footsteps echoed behind her. She turned quickly, startled to find Lamine rubbing his eyes, his hair sticking up adorably, clearly just dragged from sleep.
“What are you doing up?” she whispered, surprised.
He squinted at her, lips twitching into a sleepy smile. “My personal heater went away.”
She froze, cheeks heating instantly. “Y-you what?”
Lamine leaned against the doorframe, watching her with that teasing grin he always wore when he knew he’d gotten under her skin.
“Don’t act like you didn’t just abandon me,” he murmured. “Bed was warm. Then suddenly… cold.”
She rolled her eyes, though her blush betrayed her. “I couldn’t sleep.”
His expression softened as he walked over, lowering his voice.
She hesitated before nodding, feeling silly admitting it.
“Yeah. It’s stupid, I know.”
“It’s not stupid,” he shook his head as he gently tugged her hand. “Come on. I’ll protect you from the big scary thunder.”
She snorted with a roll of her eyes. “Wow, how heroic.”
“I try,” he said, flashing her that boyish grin that always made her stomach flip.
Back in bed, he immediately wrapped himself around her, tucking her head under his chin. His warmth seeped through instantly, grounding her in her place.
“Much,” she admitted, snuggling closer despite her burning cheeks.
He chuckled softly, lips brushing the top of her head.
“Good. Because if you ever sneak out again, I’m chasing my heater back, no matter where you go.”
She hid her smile against his chest, grateful that the thunder was loud enough to cover just how fast her heart was racing.
