Its sort of incredible what changes in five years, and how different we become after that time. When I was in my final year of school, we went to a retreat which was kind of like chicken soup for the soul. We wrote letters to our future selves and would recieve them a year later. I kept mine, and re-read it tonight. It reminded me of how much I cared about insignificant things, how naive I was and how I should have seen the warning signs of unreliable people. As we grow up, we come to understand life a little better, and learn not to sweat the small stuff as much. I am thankful for the beautiful people in my life. One loving, supportive and fun family, one gorgeous best friend, one perfect man and a handful of great friends. And a cute puppy grandma dog.
