BarkBox visited our friends over at Blue Apron HQ on Thursday, January 29 for a Yappy Hour!
Badass BK joined us with some adoptable pups, and the pups of BarkBox and Blue Apron mixed and mingled. It was puptacular networking.
Bark & Co turned 21 [in dog years] on Friday, December 12, so we threw an epic BarkDay celebration on Saturday afternoon!
Dogs took over Manhattan's Meatpacking District for a day of play, treats, fun, pics, toys, and more at 22 Little West 12th Street.
The team at Bark & Co sends a huge thank you to everyone who came out to paw-ty with us on our big 2-1.
Check out more pics at barkday.splashthat.com!
On Thursday, November 20th, BarkBox hosted the first ever Barksgiving!
We invited pups from the Bark & Co pack to a plated, seated dinner of dog-food stuffed Turkey with sweet potatoes, and pupcakes (peanut butter flavored cupcakes with whipped coconut oil icing) for dessert!
It was an epic feast for dogs. @Evermoredogs cooked up the feast, and @onehopewine donated #pinotforpaws for the humans! We sipped wine cooly while drooling over the pups' dinners.
BarkBox staff and our pawfice dogs visited Thrillist HQ on Thursday evening for a Yappy Hour!
Beer and wine flowed, puppies pranced, and humans mingled. It was a really fun evening!
On Halloween eve, BarkBox staff gathered on our newest floor, still under construction, for our annual Howl-oween party!
Dogs in costume, a flowing keg, drinking games, and dog beds for couches: don't you want to work with us?! Check out bark.co/jobs for available openings!
More happy hoomans and pups at the Austin Yappy Hour on October 25th!
On Saturday, October 25th BarkBox hosted a Yappy Hour in Austin with Tito's Handmade Vodka. Over 300 BarkBox pupscribers and pup-lovin Austin dog people came out!
It was an incredible afternoon -- there was a photobooth, live music, an open Tito's bar, and treat giveaways as far as the eye can see.
Special thanks to to Tito's for providing all the drinks and Pridebites, a vendor we know and love here at BarkBox, for coming out with free toys!
And of course, extra-special thanks to the Austin community for making BarkBox's first foray into the Austin events scene such a puptacular success.
We can't wait to come back!
On Thursday, October 23rd, BarkBox hosted the Barkies after-party!
It was an intimate gathering at our pawfice with Barkies winners, nominees, and the host, @marniethedog!
We watched the Barkies video (if you haven't seen it, check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRGMVHSqyRc#t=303) and mingled with celebrity pups over pizza and beer.
We already can't wait until next year's paw-ty!
BarkBox brought the paw-ty to LA last week for a Yappy Hour at WeWork's offices in Hollywood!
From dogs named Sophia Lauren to instagram famous corgis, it was a star-studded event appropriate for the locale.
We were thrilled to host The Doggy Oprhanage at the event. They brought adorable adoptable pups. If you didn't have a chance to check them out at the event, take a spin through their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/doggyorphanage
One of our favorite vendors Plato Pet Treats was there as well, wheelin' and dealin' free samples. (And taking photos, some of which I used for the post above!).
And of course an extra special thanks to our friends at WeWork, who let us turn their beautiful common area into a dog park on Thursday night. Everything for the pups!
xo
On Thursday, October 9, Bark & Co threw New York's hippest art show -- PUP ART: A Show For Fluffy Singles. Wholly organized by the team behind BarkBuddy, an app that helps you find adoptable dogs near you, the show raised money (and awareness!) for local NYC shelters.
A group of local and international artists each created a unique piece for the show, inspired by a BarkBuddy. Proceeds from the sales went to the shelters represented at the show.
It was a puptastic NYC art event. Our four-legged friends really brought the class to South Williamsburg last night, and thanks so much to everyone who came out and supported local shelters through art purchases!
On Sunday, the Surf City Surf Dog event took to the water for the perennial dog surfing competition! Pups and hoomans flew to Huntington Beach from as far as Brazil, Germany, the UK, Canada, New York, Pennsylvania, and beyond to pawticipate.
Pups rode solo, rode tandem with their humans, and sometimes rode tandem with each other! It was a sight to behold.
BarkBox was a very proud sponsor of this event.
On Friday night, BarkBox sponsored the opening night Yappy Hour of Surf City Surf Dog!
Surfing pros, Instagram celebs, and local Huntington Beach doges mingled at the Shorebreak hotel.
Here you see @dogumantry, @mrolliepants, @mrbobabear, @butter_e_goodness, and many other happy pups and their humans!
Our own hooman, Customer Ruv rep Lindsay, gives some extra special Ruv to Mr Boba Bear at the end of the night. Woof!
Here at BarkBox we love Texas. From BBQ night, to Texas Hold 'Em, we always got Texas on the brain.
Last weekend we traveled down to Houston to host a pupscriber meetup at Winston's on Washington, the illustrious dog bar of downtown Houston.
Houston's dogs have got to be some of the happiest in the country. Look at those smiles! We had such a great time in Texas, we're already scheming our next trip down there! Thanks to everyone who came out, you guys made the "work trip" such a pleasure. xoxo
While the New York BarkBox crew was at the Anthropologie in SoHo, a couple of our colleagues flew down to Houston and co-hosted the same event at the Anthropologie in the Woodlands Mall.
We gave away BarkBox swag, free BarkBoxes for every dog adoption, and, of course, lots of belly rubs.
We hope to pawtner with Anthropologie again for many more Sit. Stay. Love. events!
On Saturday, September 20th, Bark & Co teamed up with Anthropologie in SoHo for a pawstitively pawsome adoption event called Sit. Stay. Love.
An annual event with Anthropologie, it's a day to encourage dog adoptions across the city. Anthropologie offered store-space to Animal Haven, and BarkBox donated a subscription to any pup adopted at the event.
This was BarkBox's first time involved, and we had such a great time we will definitely be back next year!
On September 13th BarkBox hosted BarkFest in Toronto! It was basically the tiff for dogs.
This four-legged film festival focused on the furriest members of our families — our dogs. Hoomans and pups snuggled up under the stars at Harbourfront Centre for short films and feature excerpts that exemplified the magical experience of being a dog parent.
