In the lee of Mt. Katahdin on an old logging road with views of the mountain in the distance, a newly arranged fire ring with a blazing fire burning... The bugs were terrible up to and through sunset but as the twilight turns into night and the embers glow bright, the bugs take flight and I’m left alone to enjoy the quiet. A crescent moon slowly sets in the west, darkening the sky, revealing the stars. All that’s left are my thoughts and the lapping flames of the fire. You couldn’t find a more beautiful, peaceful place to be.
