"I’ve been doing all right, yes. Though I do admit some rather…interesting people have been passing through here, as of late."

Erandur smiles back. It’s still an empty smile, but it’s clear he’s really trying. He moves in closer and wraps his arms around the other mer. “I’ve missed you.”

"I’ve missed you too. It’s been too long, hasn’t it? I hope you aren’t angry with me."

"To be honest, I’m having trouble feeling much of anything right now."

"I'm sure it'll come back to you. For now you can just do what you want, even if that's just sitting here with me."

"Nnnh. You’re clearly out of sorts, either way. Things will clear up, I know they will." He puts his arm around Erandur now. "Is there anything you want me to do in the meantime? I’ll stay with you."

His hand tightens around Basheda’s. “Do you really mean that…?”

"Of course I mean it. I have been gone too long, so I might just stay for a while now." He smiles reassuringly.

He takes a seat by the priest, putting his hand on the other’s narrow shoulder.

"You can tell me, if you can. I’m here for you now."

As soon as he feels the touch on his shoulder, his head snaps to the side to look at the other mer with an expression of surprise on his face. His eyes still seem a little glazed over though. ”Ba…sheda…” he says, weakly, “You’re…you’re really here…you’re not just…one of those illusions…”
