I'm losing it about Robotnik in retirement. Completely defanged. No intention of returning to the evil life.
Stone was a government agent who then chose to follow a card-carrying supervillain. His boss is a maniacal polyglot ultra-genius who briefly had the powers of a god. Stone has to keep Google open at all times to keep up with him. Stone plans dictator outfits for him in his spare time.
The Doctor Robotnik who Stone adores is not a convalescing Twitch streamer, one of the thousands of hopefuls, keeping track of a follower count of the basic bitch humans he once claimed to despise. Hawking energy drinks when they both know damn well he's a latte man.
But that's what the doctor is doing. And that's what he plans to keep doing. And Stone waits, smiles, presses the like button, probably manages the physical therapy regimen. And he doesn't judge him for a moment, his respect doesn't falter. He doesn't try to push him back to a world that has unpersoned him and frozen him out.
He certainly doesn't want to be anywhere else.
But he keeps track of the badniks. Just in case. And the moment the legacy of who Robotnik wanted to be is threatened, he's ready to go.
