hiii i’ve come across a video on tik tok about an insta creator who tried to “write” a romance book about a jewish girl and a nazi soldier, complete with an ai-generated cover

it might be a bit of a stretch but the cover art REALLY reminds me of your beautiful work and im afraid it might have been plugged into ai to create this atrocity

omg….. 1. WHAT THE FUCK???????? 2. i kinda see it but it’s not the same SAME so i can’t tell😭😭 even it’s not mine that is 100% taken from other digital artworks actually painted by someone.... im so angry rn!!!!! the end is so near….

honestly, i’m genuinely shocked. i remember her original piece so clearly, and seeing it copied like this is honestly heartbreaking. stealing someone’s art to generate ai content is such a cruel thing to do

please, if you can, block and report the account. our artists deserve so much better than having their work stolen and fed into ai to make soulless copies, so we must protect them. they’re the reason this fandom is as creative and beautiful as it is. if you haven’t already, go support @basietta by engaging with her original art and respecting her work

p.s. please don’t engage with accounts that use ai trained on other people’s work or profit from it. also be careful before accusing someone of using ai as well, since it’s becoming harder and harder to tell what’s real and what isn’t. it’s important to look into things before making claims

Heya ! I saw the very awful AI art based on yours, and if I'm correct, you can totally signal the account for copyright infringement. Since the AI also stole your trademark, it shouldn't be too difficult to prove it's stolen work. I think there are apps for artists that can put clear anti-AI screens over what you create to make sure nobody can feed it to AI. I'm sorry this happened, and I wish more could be done to protect artists. Hopefully, Tumblr bans that account.

I just love that this very video is an accumulation of thousands of years worth of art made by people who have never met each other. The concept of this video was so completely unfathomable to every single artist who made the sculptures and yet they’ve all put something toward the creation of it.
