Cora’s attention hadn’t turned from the clouds turning slightly orange from the nearing sunrise, her normally crimson lips a natural color as she hadn’t been dressed for the day just yet.  “You need to stop and take a moment sometimes, G.  To appreciate all that there is right in front of you.  Life isn’t fulfilled any other way.”

Giovanna watched Cora from their bed that they had shared together, and Giovanna sighed. She hopped off from the bed and make her way over to her and the window to see a beautiful sunrise. Giovanna stood behind her and whispered, “It is beautiful, darling.”

Her eyes rolled as she huffed another breath, hands still placed on Giovanna’s shoulders for another moment.  “I don’t understand why you stay in this town, G,” she commented as she took her hands from her shoulders and placed them to her hips.  “Seriously, you’ve gotten yourself into enough trouble.  The least you should do for yourself is get yourself a safehouse or something.”

Giovanna was not surprised on how well Cora cares about her wellbeing, but she was touched by the older vampire. Giovanna raised her eyebrows when Cora began scolding her like a child, and sighed. “Do you have a safehouse in mind, Cora? To put your mind at ease.”

As Giovanna agreed Cora smirked again, pulling herself closer as the other brunette took her hand.  “It’s such a shame, isn’t it,” she commented with another breath.  “Nobody dances anymore.  It’s quite sad.”

“Yes, such a shame indeed.” Giovanna mused. She did not care if the humans were watching. Have they not seen two ladies dance together before?  “New era I believe.”

First she would have interrogated the other Salvatore’s to no end if they had anything to do with it, if they’d known about it and didn’t do anything.  But they weren’t like that at all.  “Oh don’t look so smug, love.  I’ve a feeling you’ve done it on purpose.”

“I have no idea what you are talking about, darling.” Giovanna drawled, smiling innocently at her friend. “Anyway, why are you here? Not that I am complaining at all. Just surprise to see you here in Mystic Falls.”

“Yes it is, darling.  And I want you to know that you’ve nothing to worry about.”  She stopped within arm’s length of Giovanna, her eyebrows quirked a bit.  “It’s all part of the terriorty, love.  It happens more often than you think,” she said.  Which probably didn’t help… at all.  “Darling if you don’t like the way I get free meals, then just tell me.”

Nothing to worry about, Giovanna thought to herself as she stared at Cora. “Its fine.” Giovanna said, giving her a reassuring smile. “I will get over my petty jealous soon enough.”
