Sleepy Hollow
bynxiisms
she could see the bashful smile upon his lips, and that was where he got the nickname bash from her. she smiles, though because he did so well, he did amazingly well. no one could do better, she knew it, and she hoped the director knew that too. she heard that bastian was going to be in a play, and she just had to go see him, had to support her friend. she was still smiling when he came over, and she hugs him back, kissing his cheek softly.âno problem yo. you killed it up there.â she tells him tapping him on the shoulder.ânah, you know iâd drop anything anyway to be here, yo. youâre going to get the part i hope you know that.â
for some reason even with sleepy hollow being over following the end of october, he still hadnât felt like heâd gotten it just right, so what was one more rehearsal in the empty theatre? it kind of felt like one last hurrah. it felt even better learning he wasnât by himself for it. bynx being here....bastian sealed the script away to his pocket and counted it as an accomplishment, his arm wrapping around bynxâs shoulder and a smile on his lips feeling her kiss his cheek. âglad youâre here.â he smiles, shaking his head. âthink my theater days are done, at least for now.â he would likely jump right into the next that caught his eye, but for now, he was glad to be done. âwhat are you up to? wanna hang out or something? you doing anything?â he asks, keeping his arm around his best friend as he directed their steps towards a side door that led outside.

goof. that got a good chuckle out of the blonde before sheâs pointing a little finger his way. âiâll have you know that i am having the time of my life in here. i am surrounded by what i am passionate about and if you donât see the fun in anything around here then so be it. i couldnât give two flying fricks about that.âÂ
âyeah well....â bastianâs eyes moved over the space but, to be fair here, he was still peeking through a crack in the door sheâd jumped him for opening so he wasnât exactly jumping to get a better look around. âthat robot spider thing isnât fun; thatâs a terrible idea.â he says, ducking his head back out a little.â flying fricks? âyou watch your mouth, maâam.â

it was late. she should have been keeping her eyes on the time, but books   always seemed to transport her to another place. time did not exist, and simply   bent around the blonde, wonder-filled young woman. it was there, as odette   was walking down the street that she ran into someone.
 â oh ! pardon me â âÂ
âoh....iâm sorry.â bastian offers, the very moment he collided with a young woman, his eyes taking her in. she seemed lost in thought, but happy, and that was a good thing. he smiled at that. âdidnât mean to be in your way.â he smiles politely.
destan-khoury
Destan woke up alone and terrified. She didnât know where she was or what was going on, but only one thing sent her into a panic. âSully? Sully!â Destanâs voice rang out loudly, carried around by her magic in an unconscious attempt to make the noise reach her friend. She remembered walking home with him after closing the veterinary clinic, but anything after that was hard to recall. Her head hurt terribly and there was something warm trickling down her face, two things that should hint towards what had happened, yet the witch only had one goal as she picked herself off of the ground. âSullivan!â She screamed louder, wisps of raw magic leaving her body as her desperation made her unable to keep her powers in check. She couldnât see, she was alone, and she had no idea where she was.Â
bastian had been in bed when the quake rolled through and now he was checking out the damages by rolling through the city on his skateboard. heâd chosen to take the outskirts, through the brownstones to stay away from the city center where he could hear a lot more going on. people had likely gathered more around the clock tower, but the streets with the homes were busy too, for all the residents whoâd been asleep, home, woken up by the quake. hearing a woman scream his teal eyes were moving to her, and he kicked his sneaker against the pavement to push his board faster into her direction before skidding to a stop, not too close to her. âare you okay? what can i do?â he asks, holding a hand out slightly, more to show he was here to help if he could. he could see blood on her face and he knew sheâd need medical, so his eyes were darting around looking for medical in the area.

âThis saddleââ She lifted the saddle draped over her arms. âIs for Roach. He told me he was real nervous to do the hay rides. So I said he could be a overnight camp watch. Iâm gonna harness Leopold. Heâs been wantinâ to impress Brandy. So I told him that she likes a stallion that can pull his weight.â Lizzy giggled as they arrived at Leopoldâs stall and dropped the saddled on a stand outside the stall . She walked in and cooed the bay colored horse, Leopold snorted and dug his hoof into the dirt.Â
âHe says heâs ready.â She smiled over at Bastion. âLetâs get him ready.â
âroach is a gross name.â he muses innocently. bastian wasnât familiar with those horses, so he figured they had to be her own. he was used to working daily with the ones that belonged to working hands in the Sector, but he shrugged. âcanât blame a horse for trying.â he says, smiling lightly and gesturing with his hand, allowing her to handle her horse, because him doing it seemed rude.Â

âVery true. Well, youâre an angel and I am reiterating that statement.â She took the plate and picked up a small jello brain. âThis isnât a jello shot now, is it?â Luci teased though she knew Sebastian knew better than to bring her drinks on the job. âYes, I have been pretty busy. I have to say the fact someone pierced their girlfriendâs skin with fake vampire fangs on accident was pretty interesting. Iâve had some traumatic ones like a kid accidentally stepping on a nail or someone trying to fake an injury, but accidentally hurting himself in the process.â
âwell thank you. i feel the need to dress up now.â bastian was so behind on everything, at least he felt that way. he hadnât gotten to a costume. it had taken a lot longer than heâd expected to plow down the paths for the corn maze and then he kept getting himself lost in it. it was ridiculous really. âi hope not. i saw kids with them.â he frowns looking at the little jello brain, his head turning to look back down the hall where the tables were set up. kids were still going crazy for them. âthey might be. we may never know.â he smiles cheekily turning back to lucina. ârough night. from what iâve seen out there itâs probably going to get worse. are you stuck in here all night?â

Lizzy smiled and shook her head. âJust as much as the next.â She walked into the barn and grabbed a saddle and bridle. âGrab one?â She asked with a smile and southern twang.
bastian glanced to the horses pegasus used for hauling, ones he saw often in the fields when it came time to plow them down. with their breed they were built for it and he ran his eyes over the tracker bed they used to haul hay, now having it running along the inside for people to sit on. looking back to the girl he moved when we heard her. âwhatâs the saddle for?â he asks, wondering if she was fixing to ride one of them as they pulled the weight behind them. seemed like a lot of strain on the animal, but maybe she planned to ride another horse beside or behind to see things run smoothly. in any case, he moved to grab one of the harnesses that would be needed to hitch the horses to the tractor bed.

Lucina smiled brightly as she saw Sebastian walking up to her with a plate of food. The brunette hadnât realized how hungry she was until she could see the plate in front of her face. âHave I ever mentioned to you that you are an angel?â
âyou just did.â he tells her, smiling and offering her the plate, making sure nothing tipped off of it. âstaying busy in here? whatâs the weirdest injury so far?â bastian asks, glancing around the many people going about their work, while some seemed to be chilling out more and enjoying themselves at a nurseâs station.

the spider went off on itâs own to who knows where and her green eyes began to roll. âyou listen here, dude. i didnât say anything was wrong with being deaf. if i knew you were going to get this uppity about it i would have gone with something else. iâll definitely go with something else next timeâŠ.like asking the question in sign language.â in which she proceeds to sign the rest of what she was thinking in her head which was only ending that with âyou dork.â crossing her arms once again, she narrows her eyes towards the intruder. âwell this is a place you do not get to snoop in at all.âÂ
âyeah? well....youâre going to miss all the fun being in here. so....i donât want to snoop anyways. itâs not proving to be much fun in here and i am all about the fun, which you donât appear to be having any of.â bastian really couldnât fight that well, it wasnât in his nature but he tried. âyou....goof.âÂ

Her patient was wide-eyed as Lucina used the water next to her to heal his ankle. She was happy that she could help the young child enjoy the rest of the festivities. âNow, I donât want to see you back here. Okay?â Lucina said with a smile on her face to a little boy that was dressed up as a power ranger.
he carefully balanced a plate from the buffet, a few âfingersâ rolling around and the little jello brains jiggling as he walked. he finally found lucina. bastian stopped short when a little power ranger jumped up to get ready to leave, turning his hips to carefully dodge the excited youngster before he set his eyes on lucina. âbrought you food!â

âThe line for hay rides will be over there.â She pointed over by the rows of benches just next to the barn. âGrab some cider, hot chocolate and beer, because itâll be cold, yâall.âÂ
he was so ready for this, so ready. heâd gotten a minute of a break before heâd be starting the next batch going off into the corn maze so he was partaking for a minute or twenty, jumping a bench to sit down on it so he could wait patiently and within his sector. it kept him close to where he needed to be most of the day. âhaving fun yet?â he asks lizzy, before looking to the kid sitting next to him and offering his knuckles for a bump. âboosh.â
zekexperez
âare they your favorite candy?â she asks him, smiling softly, before sheâs chuckling at his next words.âyou spend time in here to work, not to play.â she teases softly, before sheâs nodding her head.âiâm sure youâre better than i am. my balls enjoy going in the gutter.â she tells him before looking down at the balls, before looking back at him.âoh i donât think iâll play anymore, as much fun as that sounds, it isnât fun when you canât actually do it right.â she tells him, laughing softly.âi just come here for the company of people and the pizza.â
ânah not really, just handy to keep around.â he admits, chuckling and shaking his head. âitâs not really that taxing and itâs not like i get paid to do it.â bastian points out. âmaybe, maybe not. if the ball hits the gutter then itâs just less work for the bowling pin setter that doesnât get paid for this either.â he says, shrugging, and nodding. he got that. wasnât so fun to not be able to do what was fun. âtheyâre probably pulling out fresh pizzas right about now. usually do when it starts getting busy.â which it was now with the lights about to come down.Â

Hearing the sound of her name being called out through the barreling of several seat rows, Fallonâs eyes squinted as they tired to get a visual on the commotion. The lights hitting the stage were extremely bright and she couldnât always see what was going on, but she did recognized the voice, âBastian?â
surprisingly heâd just perfect seat hopping. they were low enough and with the help of his hand on the backs he was able to quickly push himself over a few with ease. it was a note made in the back of his mind that just walking down one of the aisles might have taken less energy because he was slightly winded by the time heâd cleared four, and he paused. hands on his hips and his lungs pulling in a deep breath to satisfy his lungs. âbastian is me; fallon is you.â he nods, ticking a finger at her before he pulled his small camcorder from the side pocket of his backpack holding it up proudly with a wide grin. âthey were moving all night. i could here them.â he says. âscampering all over their cage!â he hadnât viewed the footage yet, heâd been too excited and he had to come tell fallon.

okay she for sure thought this dude would have left by now, but his head keeps poking through that door and sheâs about ready to go shove on it to bring her point across. she doesnât though, instead a little mechanical spider makes itâs way to the door and opens it further, giving rose a better look at the intruder. âlisten bub, the deaf comment was just something smart to throw out, i donât need you breaking it down to specifics.â she says as her arms begin to cross beneath her chest. âis there something you are in dire need for here or were you just snooping around?â
when the door was pulled open further and out of his hands he of course was quick to notice the little mechanical sound and he was taking a step back and lifting the sole of one of his shoes, maybe to just keep it from him or maybe just to not step on it, maybe it depended on how it moved but his foot was placed back down after a moment so that clearly wasnât the most pressing. âyou listen here, maâam, so what if i was deaf? something wrong with that? iâll break it down to specifics just enough to point that was very problematic of you and if i was a few years younger iâd be offended, so...â he shrugged, matter-of-fact eyes. âsnooping.â
