“Please?”
“No.”
“Pretty please?” Bruce whined softly, making sure to push his bottom lip out in an irresistible pout as he clung onto Oliver’s arm. “With a cherry on top?”
“B… you seriously don’t know how disconcerting it is to see you pout in full Batman getup.” Oliver sighed, running his free hand through his hair.
“It wouldn’t be if you would just agree to take my monitor duty. I promise I’ll make it worth your while.” Bruce huffed, sliding off his chair and onto Oliver’s lap with practiced ease. “Cmon, Green Arrow. Save me from a boring Watchtower shift so I can go to Robin’s art exhibition.”
“… sex or one of your homemade desserts?”
“You can pick.”
Oliver tilted his head and tossed the idea around in his head, his hands absentmindedly squeezing Bruce’s hips, enjoying the pressure of the man on top of him.
“Okay, fine.” Oliver relented. It was almost worth it seeing the subtle shift in Bruce’s expression. It was basically the equivalent of him lighting up and grinning at him.
The things he does for love. If he has to suffer through another monitor duty? So be it.
“Yess! Thank you, thank you, thank you.” Bruce chirped happily, wrapping his arms around Oliver’s neck and hugging him tight. Oliver briefly flashes back to all the moments Bruce has done this exact thing before and can’t help but imagine the cute face he must be making underneath his mask.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m your savior. It’s what heroes do.” Oliver rolled his eyes good-naturedly as Bruce climbed off his lap. “Alright, get going or I'll change my mind,” Oliver said.
“Wait, give me some sugar.” Oliver tugged on Bruce’s cape, making the other man lean down as they exchanged a few soft kisses. “Fuck… I'd better be getting more of this later.” Oliver muttered as Bruce gently tugged on the short hairs at the bottom of his neck.
“For you? Definitely. Come over for dinner, the kids wanna see you. And stay after, of course.”
“You know I wouldn’t miss that for the world.”
“Good.” Bruce pressed one last lingering kiss to Oliver’s lips before slipping out of the room as if he were never there in the first place.
Oliver let out a pleased sigh and relaxed in his chair, looking up only to catch the League with their jaws dropped open.
“What?”
The Justice League blinked, looking at Green Arrow with utter disbelief.
“Seriously, what?”
