It’s quite alright - everyone happens to have those every once in a while. I know I feel a bit…moody sometimes. [ he tips his head to the side ] Well it sounds like you’ve got a whole lot of nothing on your plate… [ he takes a seat, smiling at her ] No - I just visited Lily up in her office upstairs, so I figured while I was here that I would swing by, see how you were. Obviously, I came at the right time, you seem to need entertainment, and I - as your wonderful friend - intend to try.

Ugh I know but I hate this days, they are so dull and.. Slow... It’s like working full time on the Centaur Liaison Office, sorry, in-joke, nobody goes there because Centaurs actually don’t like it at all so... It’s not a very good joke, really [shrugs and then smiles amused] You? Moody? Come on, you’re a sweetheart, I bet you’re just saying so to make me feel less bad about my terrible welcoming just now! [opens her hands and her arms pointing at her desk] So full of nothing I’m drawning! [laughs at herself] Oh really? Tsk, see, I wasn’t even your fist option, you just came to me because you pitied my emptiness, this is how sad my day is [chuckles] I’m fine I’m fine, terribly bored, as you may have noticed, but I’m doing great, how are you Rem? [ Remus stops in front of her desk, peering over the top and remaining silent until she noticed him there. [Emmeline giggles nervously, putting her book down and looking back up at him with a smile] Hi, hi, I’m glad to hear you’re good [she sighs and leans back on her chair] It’s just one of those days, nothing to do, no one to help, no need to go talk to the centaurs in the forest, no one wants to hear my complains about the department, well, Lily wants, but Lily is not the one I need to convin- Ah, see? I’m complaining again! [bites her lip and smiles] Sorry, sorry, guess I’ll have to start over once more! Please sit, I’m glad you’re here, did you need anything or where you just paying your lovely-but-incredibly-whinny friend a visit?

[talks in a monotonous tone without looking up from her book] No please, don’t interrupt me, I’m so busy, look at me, all these papers to read, all these creatures to check, and everybody wants to hear my opinion about the department, I have so many things to do...

[looks up and gasps] Remus! I’m sorry, I thought you were someone else [laughs nervously] Sorry, you didn’t need to hear my complains, did you need something? Not that I mind you here, of course! [sighs and chuckles] Let’s start over, hi Rems, how are you?

She rolls her eyes, smiling slightly.

“I think you and I have very different definitions of what means to be just friends. Oi! He could be a Death Eater. You never know these days. I could be one. Fine, no, I couldn’t, but that didn’t stop that bloody Voldemort to ask when James and I graduated.” She shrugs. “I think you should ask him out.”

Oh no, I’m pretty sure we have the same definition of just friends, you just don’t want to admit that’s what we are. [chuckles] Nah, he’s too nice, I mean, I’m sure he can hold himself in a fight and all that, it’s not an abilities thing, but come on, you have talked to him. How could he ever be with that people? [laughs] Please, you a Death Eater is just as hilarious, more even. Voldemort was really out of his dept there... Like you and James could ever....

“Don’t worry. I’m not cutting my hair. James would probably make it grow with magic anyway. Not bald decisions whatsoever. I was talking about Remus, though. Did he ever ask you to go for that cup of chocolate milk or did the Death Eaters attack before he could? Because I’m starting to believe he’s the mastermind behind all of this, just so he doesn’t have to actually ask you out.”

Remus? [blushes slightly and shrugs] I haven’t seen him since before the attack when I gave him some chocolate. [chuckles] Please, like he could ever be a Death Eater, but if he doesn’t want to ask me out you shouldn’t forced him Lily, we are friends, we can share hot chocolate any day as just friends...

She laughs, rolling her eyes playfully as if nothing had happened and tilting her head to the side. 

“It was nothing, really, I was just telling you how I’m going to shave my head completely. Do you think James will fancy it?”

Oh I get it, you’re trying to trick me because you think I wasn’t paying attention, but I was, see? I was... I just don’t know what you were talking about... But I know it wasn’t about you getting your head shaved... Also James is too obsessed with his hair, I’m afraid the impact will be long lasting damage to his heart. And Sirius would laught at you, I’m pretty sure, even if it looks gorgeous [shrugs] I think you should do whatever you want, it’d be a bold desicion though... Or you could say a bald desicion [giggles and then looks serious] you should expect a lot of those in the future.

Do people not like happiness, I don’t understand. [ he chuckles, breaking off a piece of chocolate and popping it into his mouth ] I definitely think I can wait around for humanity to catch up with us if it means more chocolate. [ he shrugs ] Who knows what you would have done? Slipped into a bout of sadness, naturally. But luckily, you don’t have to think of such a thing. I’d always forgive you. [ he laughs ] I do apologize. Though, you won’t be the first to have told me I’m a bit misleading. [ at Amos’ name he rolls his eyes ] He’s just so…happy. Smiling and whatnot. And his teeth are so white - I don’t trust that. How do you even speak with him? About quidditch no less. He’s utterly obsessed, it’s a bit frightening, honestly. [ he smirks, shaking his head ] If that’s true, we need to help her…well, you need to help her because that’s madness.

I know! It’s like humanity just wants to be sad, thinking chocolate is just chocolate. It’s terrible really. But we will educate them, slowly, and while having all the chocolate they don’t, sound like a solid plan to me, don’t you think? [giggles] Well yes, I would have obviously got so depress I wouldn’t be able to get out of bed, maybe I wouldn’t even be able to enjoy chocolate! What a terrible life! I’m glad you have forgave me, I wouldn’t want to be that Emmeline, poor girl. Ah see! If I’m not the first then it’s all on you! You will have to be less misleading or I won’t be able to trust you anymore! [laughs] You don’t trust his white teeth? Isn’t that a bit harsh? [chuckles] It is a bit... Well, almost impossible to follow, when he gets too exited about quidditch, but most of the time it’s like dealing with a little puppy, he’s just too happy and over active, like a dog with two tails my dad would say. What? No! Why do I need to help her? She’s dating James! It’s his duty now!

Even if you’re right and he did want to see me; I’m sure it means nothing. We dated like two and half years ago and he did move to Australia for a while. He must have like a million beautiful fans after him. (She snorts) It doesn’t count! I told you it was one time! I was mislead by the huge arms! But I never made that same mistake again. Not everyone can be forever in love with a sweetheart like you are. (She sticks out her tongue at her friend) Oh no please, don’t become James. I think I have enough with one of those. 

Actually Australia is really warm during the summer; so I don’t think that’s the reason. We’re not a golden couple anymore. In fact, we’re barely friends. I wish things weren’t so awkward between us. I mean, you can be friends with your ex boyfriends, right?

He moved to Australia because of work, and you will always have Hogwarts, it was ver Casablanca of you two, without the war and Humphrey Boggart and all that. [shrugs] He can have a million beautiful fans and still miss you, I said that he wanted to see you not that he was dead. I don’t care Ludo Bagman was a terrible decision, and I’m sure it was more than one date, those were the dark days [shakes her head chuckling] Oh no no, we are not talking about me, we’re talking about you and your awful life choices! [laughs] I don’t think the world is ready for two James, if you have kids I’ll raise them for you.

[rolls her eyes] I know Australia is warn, the point was it’s a cold place in his heart because you were not there. You aren’t a golden couple because you are with James now, but you were, the most golden of couples really. Oh you can’t be barely friends with someone like Amos, I bet he doesn’t think anything is awkward, you’ll have to talk to him though, to be sure. Well people can, I’m sure, you can be friends of Amos, of course, but you can’t think it’s awkward, or it would be.

For you, maybe. [ he chuckles a bit ] I probably am, a fact that both pleases and disappoints me. Why can’t anyone else appreciate chocolate the way we do? They don’t know what they’re missing, honestly. [ he smiles ] Well - you know better than most that my forgiveness can be bought with the right sweets. So I can forgive you. [ he laughs ] You honestly can’t, though I’m not sure why this is news to you. What James and Marlene don’t know won’t hurt them. [ he shrugs ] He appreciates them, but also loudly and dramatically scolds me for not echoing his enthusiasm. [ he laughs again ] I think most people know more about quidditch than Lily does.

[shakes her head] People never appreciate the good things in life, like chocolate and baked goods. The world would be a better place if more people were like us, we’re the future Rem... But while humanity evolves [grins and whispers] more chocolate for us. [sighs dramatically] I am relieved. What would I’ve done without your forgiveness? Who would have appreciate my sweets like they deserve? Iknoew I know, I should have never tusted you with the game, even for five minutes, but you’re just so trustsworthy! You are totally missleading! [laughs loudly] Well that sounds like James! At least you didn’t have to talk with Amos Diggory about Quidditch, I did when he and Lily were dating and honestly, I’vee following quidditch all my life and I couldn’t keep up! He was like an sugar-overdosed puppy, he literally looks heartbroken if you tell him you don’t like the sport [chuckles] Poor Lily! [pauses and looks serious for a moment] It’s true though, I think her father knows more about quidditch than she does.

He didn’t come looking for me! He just came over here to say hi because he’s one of the players! It’s not like he’s here because I am. It’s his job. Wait-what?! Who’s worse? And don’t tell me Ludo Bagman. It was one date! (She raises an eyebrow) I’m not appreciating all that sarcasm Emmeline Vance. 

Besides, he wasn’t dying.

Yeah well, he might have come here because it is his job, we agree on that, but he didn’t come right here, to wave at you, because he had to. That he did because he wanted to see you, duh. [looks at her silently with a serious expression] Ludo Bagman. [shrugs] You know the rules Evans, you say nonesense, you get sarcasm. Wow, that just sounded like James, I can’t call you Evans.

He was dying to see you because Australia is a cold place without you. [chuckles] Come one, I mean, I love James, but I can appeciate a golden couple when I see one too.

You can always do that with candy Emm, it’s foolproof. Thanks (takes a piece and has a bite) Mmm. They always have the best candy at these events. I don’t know what makes it so good, but it always tastes so much better than normal. Exactly, it’s nice to give them something happy while we’re still in the lead. Nope, the poor seekers are still flying around looking, but it is awfully cloudy out today.

I know right? Candy makes everything better, I’m a mastermind of pleasing people. They do! How is it possible that the candy here is better that others? Is it a quidditch thing? I mean, I love quidditch, even if I couldn’t play it to save my life, but I’m pretty sure even I didn’t enjoy the tournaments I’ll still have to come for all the good sugar. We are so nice, giving them something to cheer a bit, what a wonderful country we are. Ugh, the snitch is going to be a pain... I hope we find it first, I heard their seeker is pretty good, John something, John? Sean? Joan? No that’s a girl’s name [shrugs] something like that, but in spanish.
