Hi bats lovers and fans of bats! Hapy valemtines day to yall and to bats and today we have a speciel bat facts, we will be squeaking about heart-nosed bats!!
Isnt it so cute? This sweetheart is a sort of bat that eates many bugs! They eated any buges and they hang around waiting to hear a buge like waiting and hunting for it. They have big Earce and preceious eyece😳🥺❤️ and they have a heart shape nose leaf (but i think this earce is also hesrt shape in my opoinion and so so cute) and it has a function for echolotcation and also for smelling but its very good and im very proud of tbem.
They can hear sooo good!! Could hear a buge from 6 feet away even by listening for it in leafs or sand or somethings like that and also they sing! Mostly to defent their territory.
They live in East Africa and tgey live in big colonies of bats, but theh dont like other bats i think and this is why they are territoriel i imagine, and so they might sing for this reason. They sing like a birds do!! Theres 2 known songs a loud one and a soft one! Every one bat has a unique variation of it so they dont all sing it the same but this i think is is very smart they all remember these songs!
This bats is one of first bats to be hesrd singing or vocalizing and the reason not fully knows but it ciuld be terrotoriel and it could also be socializing between bats! This bats also is monogamous and they will stay in relatoinship for many mating seasins and also mama bats of this speceis can only have 1 pup at a time.
Unfortinatly this speceis of bat is prone to carryjng the bacterium Borrelia which is associatid of Lyme disease and relapsing fever. And it is becaus this bat can be bitten by blood feeding buges like ticks that might inhabit their roosts in the cave environments and stuff. This can be dangerus to humans unfortinatly and it is best to not go looking for these sweet bats and be careful. This bats does eat many buges and it is still good for keeping buge populstins from growing too much🤯 and to protect crops from buges that will otherwise damige the crops so this is very important !!
Theh gather in day time and at night time go exploring! They like caves and abandon buildings and trees to hang out.
I think heart-nosed bats is good to talk about in valentines day becaus 1. Hearts! And 2. They have 1 mate that stay with them for several mating seasons and it to me shows they have strong bond or love for each other and it is so so sweet.
