I already announced it on my pinterest already, but I'm making a fangame/visual novel for lodv called "Heaven, We Cannot Have"!!! It has an original storyline and everything, but here's the current title screen :] subject to change!!! (extra info below the cut)
It's PRIMARILY lodv focused, but is still connected to the pmmm x ec crossover that I've been working on for who knows how long which explains why Kyubey is there. The Holy Quintet has very minimal involvement, rather it focuses on everybody BUT Sateriasis. "But Apple, why is Sateriasis the focus then—?!!!" Sateriasis is merely the thread that ties everybody together into the big mess we call the Lunacy of Duke Venomania !!! With this vn, I really hope people can appreciate the possibilities that lodv has to offer because I feel like due to the content, it's been shunned in fandom despite the potential of the storyline in general. Also, I wanna explore the lives of the girls more than Mothy did, so this is my attempt at making them the focus of their own stories (which had previously been ripped away by Sateriasis). IR and Karchess get focuses too since they're pretty important?!?!?!!! Not Elluka though unfortunately 💔 TD;LR its one huge series of "what-ifs" but in the context of lodv. Or my lame excuse of giving Lukana more lore because I adore her. Or Maylis. Or Mikulia or Gumina or Lilien and Rajih even though they have minor roles in the vn, but...!!!!!!
This is gonna be a really big project for me uayagsushdhd, definitely going to take at least a year since I'm programming and drawing and writing everything singlehandedly. Thank you Doki Doki Literature Club for giving me renpy experience beforehand. I might look for voice actors too, I already found someone willing to voice over Kyubey !! I really wanna use the vocaloid voicebanks for those attributed to vocaloids, though. ALSO, if anyone here in the ec fandom is a composer who wants to do fun stuff for it just lmk !!! I already found one cool person for it, but the more the merrier!!! A visual novel isnt a visual novel without the fun background music!!!
Ill yap more about the lore and work-in-progress regarding this in the near future. Coding is hard but the results WILL be worth it
