I've gotta make an au where the lightning dragon slayer lacrima just doesn't exist and Laxus has no magic. Fairy Tail's fixation on powerful characters is such a detriment, it'd be so fascinating to see what it'd do if the cast had an outlier who didn't fit that mold. Especially for Laxus, who has by far the most connection to the Fairy Tail that isn't just being a guild member. I love Mira's sweetheart/devil dichotomy too much to dislike her getting her magic back, but there was something so compelling to the initial premise that a cornerstone person in the guild had next to no magic and felt useless because of it. I want to see that persist and force the guild to admit and accept that their bonds of friendship aren't always enough to overcome physical weakness

Don't put all your eggs in one basket, yes, good advice, but maybe don't put a dozen eggs into 12 separate baskets either, that's just silly. We don't need that many, 3 or 4 would probably be a good compromise. And especially stop getting more baskets when we already have every egg in a separate one, please we don't even have any more eggs to put in those, what are we gonna do with all these baskets???
