Hey guys remember when I went on a rant about the Terence wand situation and how I tried rewriting it to where he wasn’t a loser. Yeah forget what I said I forgot that the wand was asleep so it can’t do anything other than do what it’s told. Ohhhh my god I’m pulling my hair out. Why was this written. I hate it so so so much. I’m going to fix it I just need to think more

It’s also never technically stated that a bunch of fairies died off due to the fire, but since they used to live almost everywhere and are now cramped into one tree… that’s the conclusion I came to since there seems to be a lot less of them.

I also apologize if this is a little overstimulating I tried to be precise with my sources and such so there’s a lot going on screen 😣 I hope this was enjoyable nonetheless!! I have fun making these kind of videos :3

Gosh I could go on and on about how as the movies progressed Silvermist lost so much character because like they did with Iridessa, they reduced her to the “airhead” archetype. SHE HAD SO MUCH MORE PERSONALITY IN THE EARLIER MOVIES AUGHHHH 💔💔💔 I will rescue her I will rescue all of them they’re safe under my care trust

She is so kind and she has such a big heart. Not to mention she’s chill af. You could talk to her about anything and she’ll listen and not judge. She’s cooler than water. Aha get it. Okay. ALSO did you know in the books she’s best friends with Fira? They have a polar opposite friendship it’s so cool. Silvermist is adorable too. Did I tell you how much I love Disney Fairies? I’d love to tell you about it

its lowk so funny to me how disney fr just made up hetslop for peri out of nowhere for her book bc they apparently cant think of anything else to do for her when they can expand on her character w/o a romance 😭😭 im ngl id also be way more interested in her book if they focused it on her sister rship with tink instead bc they mean the world to me + if they want romance to capitalize on so bad het(-passing)gem aka tinkerence IS RIGHT THERE and they even alr have somewhat of a storyline in the books that they can use/expand on too. however i dont even trust them to not screw up w tinkerence atp so idk id rather cook my own food (write tinkerence fics myself) #soon..

I unfortunately had to kill her off in my rewrite.. (but she’ll come back in a different form)

(P.S. They would absolutely fuck up Tinkerence if they became canon that’s why fan content is better I’m excited to see what you’re cooking..)

curious, as a tinkerence shipper do you consider quest for the wand non canon to tales of pixie hollow? i always considered the first three books (mostly the first one) only partially canon to the book series, especially because Rani bat is never brought up again and Terence is sort of... creepy, even if he was affected by "wand madness". They also retcon a lot of things like Moth being Fira's nickname. Also Terence for some reason has brown hair and a green outfit in the Fairy Dust trilogy...

I consider the events canon to the chapter books (maybe besides some of the wand madness) but the characterizations to be different

(Also also: I love your work sooo sooo much and have admired it for a long time, you're really talented and deserve all the praise. I know art can be hard to stay motivated towards, but I really find this community precious so I love seeing your pieces- you have a great talent. Inspiring ✨🫶)

WHAT THE FUCK I DIDNT SEE THIS NOOOOO IM SO SORRY THIS IS SO LATE

This is the topic I dread the most 💔 So to start I absolutely HATEEEE HATEEE this arc. Why did the author write him this way 💔💔💔 I don’t like a lot of things that happens in the trilogy tbh a lot of it is so weird.. (AND SOME OF IT MAKES NO SENSE?? WYDM ADULTS CANT SEE FAIRIES. WDYM CAPTAIN HOOK CAN’T SEE FAIRIES YES HE CAN??? HE TALKS TO TINKER BELL IN THE PETER PAN MOVIE AND SHE WAS KIDNAPPED BY SMEE??) Anyways back on track!!

I prefer to twist his wand arc differently. So from what I can remember off the top of my head Tinker Bell acts VERY cold towards him in the trilogy. That makes him sad. That makes ME sad. Since I’m connecting the two generations of lore together.. to put into perspective makes it so tragic. That was his best friend :((. She left to go be with Peter Pan and now that she’s back she acts way different. He thinks she doesn’t like him anymore.

So in MY version when he gets the wand and is under the madness, he wishes for Tink to like him again. As in friendship. His wish in the book is literally “Make Tink like me.” EDIT: i remembered this part wrong. In the book he says “Make Tink like me romantically” FUCK DUDE I HATE THIS SO SO MUCH.

In the book once the wish is made he DOES regret it and immediately wants it reversed because his dumbass realized that she’s not herself. The wand madness was actually crazy though. Wdym Queen Clarion wanted to enslave fairies of other races and become empress. HELLO?? I NEVER see anyone talk about that. That’s how crazy the wand makes you because as we all know our Queen Ree would NEVER. Back to Terence.

In MY version, the wand hears his wish, (as in it JUST being “make Tink like me” but senses the love in his heart and twists the wish because the wand (who for some reason has a conscience), likes to misbehave. The wand takes his wish of wanting Tink to like him as a friend again and makes it so that she likes him back ROMANTICALLY. This is very much following the “be careful what you wish for “ logic. Like for example Rani wishes for wings that can be in air and water but when she gets them they’re described as super ugly 💀💀💀 Because the wand is evil and it sucks.

So once the wish is made and Tinker Bell starts acting way more friendly he thinks he has his friend back. But then realizes “oh no this isn’t Tink at all” because she starts doing more romantic gestures (I remember in the book she wouldn’t leave his side and also started tugging on his ear?? For some reason? It’s an odd habit to me but I would find it super cute if it wasn’t under. Um. Those circumstances. yeah.)

Terence is thinking “woah wait a minute this is wrong.” While yes, it would be a dream come true if Tink DID like him back the same way he likes her (cause who doesn’t wish for their crush to like them back), this isn’t Tink by her own accord. So like in canon, wants the wish reversed IMMEDIATELY. He’s weirded out and deeply regrets making the wish. He wanted his best friend to like him again not whatever is possessing Tink rn 😿

The wishes gets reversed at the end of the book yaddy yaddy yadda. Then they’re never brought up again?? What?? I think I’ll have to rework that part too. Either they all got their memories of the wishes erased or there’s gonna have to be some deep conversations…

I made a post on my Instagram story talking about my headcanon that as soon as the sun goes down Terence IMMEDIATELY gets sleepy (he’s up before sunrise and goes to bed at sundown if I recall correctly due to dust keeper duties). He’s so sleepy he’s gonna drop like a fly. Tink take him to bed he can’t stay up all night like you can!!

I forgot to mention that I went as Mother Dove again to my local ren faire!!! I had a total of THREE people recognize who she was and I was so happy!!! I handed out tiny prints of mother dove emblems that I made and I received so many eggs… it was glorious (a little girl even gave me a crochet worm to “eat” it was so stinking cute)

She also got an updated outfit!! There ARE still adjustments I need to make to her though. I think I might remake her lower jaw because it tends to go crooked when I talk 💔 I love suiting as her she’s so much fun to wear and everyone loved her!! AUGHH I miss it I wanna go back 😭

IRIDESSA 🌻⭐️🌟✨

She’s also severely underrated in my opinion💔 She’s more than just an anxious scaredy cat (looking at you Tinker Bell movies). I often feel like she just gets reduced to comedic relief in the movies because she’s scared of everything. But she does so much more 😭😭😭 Yes she’s a nervous character but she’s also a natural leader and is very organized!! For example she was put in charge to get rid of an owl because it was terrorizing Pixie Hollow (Iridessa, Lost as Sea). She was also quick to jump to the leader position to figure out what creature was lurking in the never mines (which she then goes through a whole arc and faces her fears of the dark). And fun fact: SHE CAN SPEAK LIGHT LANGUAGE HOW COOL IS THATTTT!! She finds what the creature is and it turns out to be a super rare creature called the Dragon Frog that eats light!!! (Iridessa and the Secret of the Never Mine)

I haven’t been posting ANY finished illustrations this year at all WHAT.... But today I was in a Lily mood and I wanted to draw her with her hair out :3

I’d wish I known about this sooner but it’s National Black Fae Day, which is a great day to remember to support local black artists, cosplayers, writers, and creators!! (Although it should be EVERYDAY) Although I didn’t dress up, I spent time illustrating one of the most underrated Disney Fairies ever. I LOVE LILY!!
