not so fast ! a gloved hand takes hold of the collar of the boy’s costume and effectively puts an abrupt end to his enthused dash forward. with about the effort needed to pick up a couple of grapes, the bat lifts him several inches off the ground. then, begins the kicking and the protests, and the boy resembles more of an angry cat than a robin. the frantic protests only end when he deposits him a few steps behind him. ❛ you’re forgetting something. ❜
