Harley Quinn is b-a-n-a-n-a-s!
And I mean the DC Universe animated series. I got a couple of reasons to say it’s an excellent adult animation
1) Central theme of the show: toxic relationships and how to get away from them. Harley had to deal not only with Joker but with her family equally demanding and as stinking as her partner in crime. But also tells how to get away from those enviroments.
2) Craziness and absurd moments on the series, like Dr Psycho getting the group intro Harley and Ivy’s minds, though the second wasn’t necessary. There had to be action, blode, gore and some unrequested naked dicks too. If you want violence, you got to do it well.
3) Batniverse: Batman appears when needed, but Jim Gordon’s stressed out and burned version is the best. While Legion of Doom is more protagonist and a comic relief Bane being the best of ‘em instead of the brutal dude we know.
4) Last but not least: Ivy. I ship them so hard, she and Harley have a very important link Harls ruins (and fixes) countless times. They are too cute together and we hope them to be a couple like on comics. Besides, the show is very feminist!
I almost forgot the cast: I like the main cast and some surprises like Jacob Tremblay as Robin (Tim). But Alan Tudyk steals the show as Joker and Clayface, holy shit such an actor! Ron Funches as King Shark is too funny either.
Harley Quinn comes back on April. Catwoman and Mr Freeze are confirmed. Meanwhile go give it a watch. It’s bananas!
