MEET & GREET! Submit your meet-and-greet stories to [email protected]. They are posted throughout the week.
On the 12th October I traveled from London to Manchester to see bvb perform live for the seventh time and after the concert around 1.30am I met them all, and before it was *properly* my turn to meet andy, he came to my side of the crowd with Jesse and had said ‘that thing weighs like 900 pounds why are you still carrying it’ to him and we ended up having a conversation with him trying to work out how to turn pounds into kilograms which was just really funny!
when I properly met him, (after he’d come up the line) I told him how proud I am of how far they’ve come because I’ve been a fan of bvb since Sex And Hollywood came out, to which he replied ‘that’s so cool you even liked us when we were making terrible music’ and we were laughing and I told him how excited I was for the new album because I loved goodbye agony and last rites live
and then I told him I traveled from London for this show (and we started talking about the London show and he asked which I preferred and before I could reply he said ‘I bet it was London because of the pyrotechnics’ which was true) and that I hadn’t slept in about 27 hours because of traveling and queuing etc, it was my seventh show, that I was at their first ever UK show in 2011 when they supported Murderdolls and that I’ve waited seven years to meet him and he said “thank you so much for always supporting us, and being a dedicated fan, it means so much to me that there’s people like you in our fan base.”
I asked him to sign my ticket and if he would write something for me to read when I get sad and he literally wrote ‘something for you to read when you get sad’ with a smiley face and a heart next to it because i told him i wanted to get it tattooed (which I did do) and he came back round for photos and meeting him meant so much to me, he’s been my idol for so long and I never thought I’d ever get the chance to meet him! and then I sort of cried because I was so in shock it had happened!
