tbh you get so used to your mental illness that its not even like “oh god this cant be happening” like it used to be. its just like lol “here we go again another mood drop” “oh well would u look at that i cant stop shaking” “what do you know? i dont feel anything” and its such normalcy to you that it becomes this dreadful routine that never ends and the worst part about all of it is that you dont care anymore
Please be patient with those who have anxiety
They say sorry a lot because they’re genuinely afraid they’ve insulted you somehow
They ask if they’re annoying because they genuinely think they’ve somehow annoyed you
They say things are ‘awkward’ because they can be uncomfortable in any situation, no matter who with, they don’t mean to personally hurt you
They cry because sometimes people and situations are too much, not because they’re looking for attention
They don’t text you a lot because they’re clingy, it’s because if you don’t reply, they think they’ve done something wrong
They can be set off by little things, so don’t say they’re overreacting when they panic
Please be patient with those who have anxiety
They only mean the best

Does anyone else with anxiety find themselves constantly googling the definition of different words? Even if I know the definition of the word, I still google it before I use it in conversation just in case I was wrong so I don’t look stupid. Is that just me?
Am I wet? Am I on my period? Did I pee my pants?- next on wtf is going on down there.

and also, why do sometimes think i must be bleeding or something really bad and run to the toilet and then hardly nothing has happened, and other times i think “i’m fine” and then later realise there’s blood everywhere?

today my therapist told me that a panic attack consumes about the same amount of energy as running a marathon and suddenly my lack of energy doesn’t seem so strange
it’s SO important to take care of yourself after a panic attack! it drains so much energy and many people feel selfish taking time after an attack to care for themselves but it’s so important!!! drink tea and read or take a bath or just go to sleep. let your body and mind relax and recuperate.
