From the Trees.
He was fascinated by how the cloaked figure moved carefully thorough the forest. She didnât move like the others of her kind. Â
She did not stalk like the ones that brought bows. Nor tromp thought the brush like the ones that brought axes. Humans thought that the woods belonged to them. That they could take whatever they wanted, chop down whatever they wanted, hunt whatever they wanted. Â
If respected the forest would provide almost everything one needs. It was the great mother, the only one he had left now. She however moved cautiously, but not timidly. Â Each step was deliberate not to disturb the growth. Â He had never seen someone look so out of place yet at home in the forest. Â
Her skin was the color of wood ash and her hair a lavender like the flowers of the west hills. Â A blue hooded cloak was around her shoulders in rain or shine. Â Those eyes he would only catch fleeting glimpses were a shade of purple he had never seen before. Â
He knew he should keep his distance. The green of his skin and the brown of his clothes kept him well hidden in the canopy of the trees. Â He could follow her from limb to limb trunk to trunk without rustling a leaf. Â But something about her kept drawing him dangerously close.
Each day she would come to the tree line and pick another direction to wonder. Stopping only to collect something. Â Moss, Bark, leaves and berries she would pick them from the forest floor to examine, sometimes pulling out a small book full of scribbles and hand drawn pictures to either compare or add her new discovery. Â The rare times she had to take something from a living plant she would bow her head and then pour some water from a leather bladder on its roots. Â An apology, a payment for its fruit this would be unheard of among humans. Â
Yet she was human. Â She smelled human, different but definitely human.
One day she headed northeast and found the river. Â She followed it to the source, the great cliffs that bordered the forest to the north. Â The water fell from the spire of granite to feed the river and the small rock pools near the base of the cliffs. Â There the trees were sparse, and he had few places to hide. Â She walked onto a flat rock that cut into the water. Â He watched her drop to her knees and fill her water bladder form the river drink and fill it again. Â The sun was quite warm that day. Â
She looked around as if deciding where to explore next. Â Her shoulders slumped. Â She pulled her hood down and she started to take off her boots. Â At first, he though the cloaked figure was going to jump into the river, but instead she lowered her feet into the cool water. Â She sat on the edge and leaned back laying on the stone letting the water cool and the sun warm her. Â
It was too big a risk, there was too much open, there was nothing but a few boulders and juts of rock between the river and the tree line. Â Then the wind shifted, and the cool breeze carried her scent right into his nose and with it all sense of caution.
The green man couldnât let the chance slip by. Â He dropped from trees to the forest floor landing like a cat and just as silent. He stayed low moving from shrubs the boulders to outcrops anything to obscure him but still get closer to her. Â He watched her from behind a large rock only about 10 feet away. Â
âHelloâ Â
The green one though he had been spotted he crouched lower his legs ready to launch him back to the trees, until he saw that the woman was not talking to him but a small lizard that had crawled onto her stomach. Â
âIs this your rock?â She asked. âPlease forgive me I am just borrowing if for a moment to rest.â Â
The lizards head jerked back and forth and up and down as they are habit to do. Â
He had seen woman from the villages shriek and scream flail and run anytime a creature got near them. It didnât matter how innocuous they would act as if the small spider or dragonfly was moments from eating them whole. Â This one was had no objections to letting the small creature sun himself on her.Â
For a while they both were as motionless as the rocks.  Yet his heart was thundering in his ears almost drowning out the rush of the river.  He watched her taking in all the details that he only got slivers of from the trees.  With her hood down and her cloak off her shoulders she was a slip of a woman.  He legs were long and captivating. She was like a yew tree delicate but so strong. âI am sure you know this forest well. I could use a guide.â She said eyes closed to the sky.  At first, he thought that she was speaking to the lizard again. Until she turned her head and looked at his direction. His first real look at those eyes. Â
âYou have been following me for weeks, if you were going to hurt me you would have done so by now. I am not going to hurt you. â
The green one stood slowly revealing himself over the rock. The woman had encouraged the lizard onto her hand and gently placed it on the stone next to her. Â She sat up her eyes running up and down over him. Â
âCan you speak? Â What do they call you?â Â She said sitting up her feet still dangling in the river.
He swallowed hard. Â Trying to remember how to make words. Â He had not spoken to anyone for so long. Â There was no need too. Â The people of the village had nothing to say to him, other then âStop thief!â or âDemon!â or âMonster!â Â He opened his mouth a few times trying to make the sounds. Â
âIt is alrightâ She held up her hand. âThe water is quite refreshing, perhaps a drink?â Â
âBeast!â finally croaked out of his mouth. Â âI am called Beastâ Beast stood there looking at her, her face showed little expression. Then there was the fairest trace of a smile, and he was hit with a thunderbolt. Â âHello Beast, my name is Ravenâ Â
I do hope that the mod of @bbraeweek19 can forgive a late submission. If its any consolation I did start this story in January of 2018. While watching one of @shock777 speed paints. It was actually an early draft of Raven from her fantasy AU https://shock777.tumblr.com/post/183816172638/remember-my-teen-titans-fantasy-au-from-like-5  Witch has been prominent for this years event. (I really do love the designs btw) I have not written fantasy before, but there was so much art, and I started watching Seven Deadly sins on Netflix so this came together. Â
Traveling with a demon-slayer can be awfully inconvenient BBRae Week â19 | Day 7 | AU/Multiverse
She did not want to do this, but she knew she had to. It was kill or be killed, she reasoned. After all, it was just a matter of time before he discovered that she was half-demon and kill her.
But as he prattled on, something about how his adoptive demon-slaying family taught him how to transform into different animals, she couldnât help but think how nice it would be to have a family like that. To have people to love and depend on.
Although the boy was mostly air-headed and tended to talk too much, he was kind to her throughout their journey. And as much as she hated to admit it, she had started thinking of him as a friend.
It would be terribly rude to kill a friend.
Not that he would care once he finds out that youâre a demon.

BBRae Week: Day 7Â AU/Multiverse
Now, this is an AU I had created when admiring bombshell!ravenâs design. Itâs where Beast Boy, aka as Garfield Logan, is an actor who gets mixed up with an interdimensional half-demon who is basically looking for a âmateâ, cue the shenanigans. The best way to hear about the details is to read @fireflyxrebelâ fanfic about it. She basically took my AU and brought it to life, giving it justice! đ
Do read/review it, I promise you wonât be disappointed! Hereâs the link! (x) Give all your support! đ

BBRae Week Day 7- Alternate Universe.Â
Perhaps they got side-tracked from the mission at hand that Robin had ordered them to embark on. Either way, the two were left alone for a week or so, traveling to a neighboring Citadel. Beast had been getting closer to Raven lately, and his heart liked to race near her. It was a lovely day that afternoon as they trekked onward. Walking off the main trail and getting thicker into the forest, which Beast suggested was a convenient short-cut, the two were surrounded by really long unkempt grass. It was only a matter of time before a loud sneeze echoed through the meadow. The force of the sneeze surprised himself and sent shivers down his spine. A small giggle hit Beastâs ears. He looked over at her to see her smiling and laughing for the first time in a while. His heart instantly thumped loudly. âYou told me you didnât have allergies!â Raven giggled. Beast rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. âI donât I justâŚwas surprised by theâŚbeautyâŚ.o-of this placeâŚâÂ

Two to beam directly to Sickbay!
*Beep* âMedical emergency we have two beaming directly to sick bay! â
Raven could hear the frustration in commander Stones voice. So she was not surprised to see her worst patient materialize on the deck. Most doctors get one or two hypochondriacs. They come in convinced that they were dying of some bizarre aliment that had been cured a hundred years ago. She got Lieutenant Garfield Logan, Â green skin, pointy ears, Â smart mouth and death wish. Â
It seemed like every time he beamed down to a planet he was getting beamed up burned, poisoned, infected or bleeding. This time he was unconscious white quills sticking out of his chest red staining his blue uniform. Well at least he is one piece this time. Last week she had to reattach his foot.
âKori what happened?â She asked the security office that beamed up with him.
âI know not!â She started gushing. âHe was scanning the ruins the next thing I knew he was on the groundâ
âI thought Stone sent you along to keep him out of trouble!â Â Raven stated flatly eyes fixed on the wound as she started scanning him. Â
âDoctor, you will be able to repair him wonât you?â Â Kori was choking out the words. Â
The tricorder started beeping in alarm, his blood pressure was falling like a stone.
âI need him on a table now!â Â The Doctor yelled out to her staff. Â
*********************************************************************************************
âI did it again didnât I?â Â he groaned out his eyes easing open. Â
Logan was lying on the bio bed, his shirt cut away to expose the wound. The quills were gone and the Doctor was tending to the minor wounds in his skin.
âYes Lieutenant, you did it againâ She said standing over him running the dermal re-generator over his chest. Â
âGreatâŚdid my tricorder survive this time, my readings?â  He asked trying to sit up only to have the restraining field flash and hold him down fast. Â
âYou are lucky that you survived this timeâ her voice strained. She was at her limit. Â A crew of 420 and this short, green disaster waiting to happen, had burned through the last of her patience all on his own. Â Â
âIt couldnât have been that serio-â he choked out before she cut him off.
âI needed to completely replace your blood! those barbs contained a paralytic that would have melted your brain!â She slammed the instrument down in annoyance. âAre you that clumsy? Are you trying to get yourself killed?â
He left Ravens questions unanswered allowing a cold silence enter sick bay. She started making her notes on a PADD and hoping that he didnât feel the need to break the quiet. She was disappointed. Â Â
âUm, Doc how long do I have to stay here?â Logan asked.
âUntil I can convince Captain Grayson not to let you out of your lab anymore or until we get back to Earth which ever comes first.â She responded with a voice that cooled the room 10 degrees. Â
âCome on I am not that bad â
âLast month, you got into a fight with a Gorn prospectorâ
âHe was destroying cultural artifacts-â
âHe nearly bit your arm off. Before that there was the Ivieran Ivy, you nearly scratched off all your skin.â
âThatâs not fair, half the away team caught thatâ
âIt was a two man team!â
âLike I said half the team.â Â
âI want to go one week in my medical log without having to report that Lieutenant Garfield Logan almost got himself killed. â Â
âI am still here arenât I? Â Must be doing something rightâ
âYouâre here because I pumped enough stimulant into you to jump start a warp core!â she exclaimed
He just smiled and said âI am here because I wanted to a see your eyes. There amazingâ Â She let his complement fall to the floor.
âWhy canât you go one away mission without getting hurt?â she asked rubbing one of her temples.
âThey really are beautiful I donât think that color even exists on my planet.â
Exasperated she stormed off to her office to start her log. To report that once again Garfield Logan will survive to get himself killed at a later date. The green patient just turned his head to let his eyes follow her as she dropped herself into the desk chair. Â Â
âDoc you canât fool me! I know you like me!â he yelled across the room. Â
She just looked up from her desk and stared at him, not sure if she wanted to hear the reasoning for his argument.
âYou always put me in my favorite bio bed.â he stated with a smug grin. Â
Just the absurdity of the statement made her blurt out. âAll the bio beds are exactly the same!â
âNope! This one is the best one, this one lets me see into your office so I can watch you when you think I am wacked out on pain killers.â Â The smile never left his face and she was seriously thinking about throwing him in a stasis drawer and telling the captain âNo sir I have no idea where he could have goneâ.
âI put you in that bio bed so I can keep an eye on you! Getting yourself hurt on a mission is one thing but youâre not doing that in my sickbay!â she replied curtly. Â "Please tell me your entire species is not this infuriating!â
âI dunno, are all Azrathans as lovely as you?â At this point she just froze, as he kept talking âIf you are really interested in my species you can come back with me to my planet, I can introduce you to my parents. Just to warn you when you meet my Mom she really wants grand kidsâ
At this point she pushed away from her desk and put her head in her hands. She started mumbling under her breath quietly. Even from across the room he could tell that he might have pushed a little too far. It was an old problem, he would like a woman and try way to hard and would end up annoying her instead. Between those eyes, that violet hair and the way she filled out that uniform he had a hard time helping himself. Â
âDoctor could you come here a minuteâŚpleaseâ
Raven took a deep breath, and tried to remind herself she was a doctor, an officer, a professional. She got up and walked over to Loganâs bedside once again.
âAre you in pain?âÂ
"NoâŚDocâŚRaven I am not trying to be trouble for you honest, and I am sorry.â He was taking a risk using her first name. âYou are always here. Even off duty in your office working. I have never seen you in the lounges, or the crew areas. I have never even seen you outside of sickbay.  For a little while I thought you were a medical hologram. â
He was not wrong. If she was not treating patients, Raven was doing research, or performing experiments. She didnât really do much but work.Â
âAre you really getting yourself hurt just to see me?â
âYesâŚnoâŚI mean what usually happens is that I get distracted by something my mind gets to focused on it, I forget about the world around me and I end up walking into walls or bushes or Gorn fists.â  He closed his eyes a moment trying to pick the right words. âMy mind has been wondering to you latelyâ he stated slowly like the words were heavier than his mouth was used to. âRaven I donât like getting hurt, but when it happens I am happy that I get to see you again.â Â
Raven stood there just letting what he said sink into her. Â
âApology acceptedâ she almost whispered. âYou do need to be more careful, or youâre going to eventually do something to yourself that I canât fix.â Â
Raven turned around and started heading back to her office. Not sure now how to report all of this. Â
âCan I make it up to you?â Â he asked. âHolodeck two, we can go to the beaches on Lantis four. Moonlight swimming under a sky that shows every star in the sector. It will give you a chance to see me without my shirt without having to cut if off my chest.â
âDoctors are not supposed to date there patientsâ Raven responded.
âIf you start dating me I wonât have to get myself hurt to see you!â She could almost hear the smile he was wearing.
âNoâ She stated flatly. Â
Logan sighed and closed his eyes feeling defeated. Â
âI donât like holodecks.â she said not looking back at him. âDinner. Your quarters, and I am bringing a med kitâ
âI will see you tonight!â he exclaimed
âTomorrow night you, are in that bed till then for observation, and thatâs an order. â
âYes Maâamâ  Â
TT/Star Trek AU: Raven is the chief medical officer and Beast Boy is a dopey anthropologist who keeps getting injured on away missions. Dr. Raven is all âSeriously? You got bitten by a Gorn again?â or âCanât you go ONE MISSION without being infected by space ivy or impregnated with alien bugs or something?â Itâd be funny. Â
Okay there was anonymous user that asked @shock777 for this. Now I know that most likely the user was looking for art, (since she draws exceptionally well) but she is not a Star Trek fan. Well I am, so I hope a fan fiction will do. I took a small liberty putting it in the 24th century (Next Gen, Voyager, DS9 era) I really did like this concept because unlike some other AUs I donât have to alter the characters features. Itâs okay for them to have green skin and purple hair, just let them come from other planets. This is my first attempt at an AU. I know itâs not going to be everyone cup of tea, but It was a way to stretch myself a bit. (BTW Shock I am not trying to steel your thunder, I am really a big fan of your work. If you ever decided to give Star Trek a chance would be happy to discuss it with you. :) Â )
For the few people that have read my blog that far back, your right I am cheating. This is not a new story. But I didnât want @bbraeweek19 to end with only submitting one thing. I have some stuff I am going to try to finish for the earlier prompts. So something back when I first started writing this stuff. Also some credit to @shock777 who let me run with this idea a while back.Â
BBRae Week Day 6- Body Markings.
âDaddy will be a pretty flower now!â The tickle of the brushes against his cheek made Gar giggle. His little girl was growing up so fast! Her big green-blue eyes conveyed a concentration so deep that it broadened Beast Boyâs smile even wider. He took his finger, dipped it in red paint, and drew a little heart on her cheek as Raven and Galen walked into the dining room. âYouâre an even prettier flower, sweety! And Daddy Loves you soooooo much!âÂ

Battle Scars BBRae Week â19 | Day 6 | Body Art/Markings
âDoes it still hurt?â
âNot as much as it did this morning. Thanks for helping me change my bandages, Gar. Itâs difficult enough moving my arms with a broken rib and a stitched-up back.â
âYou know Iâd do anything for you, Raven⌠Hey, when did you get that ink done?â
âOh, this one? I got it last week. It was my momâs⌠anniversary.â
âHuh. Thatâs why you were gone the whole day⌠I like it.â
âWhat? My tattoo?â
âYeah. But I like mine better.â
âYou mean the one Cyborg made you get when you lost at Fire Race Max?â
âNo, that one sucks. Iâm talkinâ âbout this one.â
â⌠Gar, Iâd already told you a dozen times, Iâm not going to get that on my body.â
âBut itâs us! BB and Rae! Forever! Itâs like a good luck charm.â
âNo. You can try all you want, but I wonât change my mind. Besides, with all these scars, itâs hard enough finding a spot for a new tattoo. A humiliating one like that is out of the question.â
âOkay okay, Iâll stop. But I gotta be honest⌠Itâs not easy seeing all these scars on your body, and seeing you get hurt like that in the battlefield.â
âYou were injured too.â
âYeah, but not anywhere as bad as you. I hate that every time the alert sounds, I start wondering if thatâll be the last time we see each other. Ugh⌠Iâm gonna have to talk some sense into Nightwing. Maybe heâll finally force you to retire.â
âAt the tender age of twenty-three? Youâve got to be kidding.â
âYou have to. My heart canât take it, seeing you get hurt again. Plus, how are we ever gonna have kids if you keep getting beaten up again like that?â
âKids? Gar, weâre not even married yet.â
âWell⌠(mumbles) itâs only a matter of timeâŚâ
âWhat did you say?â
âN-nothingâŚâ

I miss you BBRae Week â19 | Day 5 | Rain
âRaven, itâs raining really bad, youâre gonna catch a cold.â
ââŚâ
âCome on, Raven. Youâve been here for three days. Come home with me.â
â⌠Leave me alone, Garfield.â
â⌠Raven⌠It⌠You know it wasnât your fault, right? There was nothing you could have done. You did your best to save her.â
â⌠I⌠I didnât try hard enough.â
âYou couldnât have saved her, Rae.â
âYes, I could! I shouldnât have left. I shouldnât have left her alone! Defenseless! Helpless! If Iâd brought her with meââ
âRaven, listen to me! Your aunt⌠her death⌠it wasnât your fault. You did all you could to protect her. You thought⌠no, we thought she would be safe in the facility, and they would never find her. Itâs as much my fault as it is yours if you keep blaming yourself for it! So, if you want to blame someone for it, blame me!â
ââŚâ
â⌠Raven?â
Her face crumples and she let out a sob, a squeak that grew into an almost feral cry. Big round blobs of tears fell out of her already-puffy eyes, and Garfield wanted to beat himself mentally for making her cry like that. He knew it wasnât so much that heâd said the words, but that she finally accepted the truth that hurt her so much. But Garfield still felt his chest growing heavier with each sob and each tear that ran down her cheeks.
âI miss her, Gar⌠I⌠I miss her so muchâŚâ
âThere there⌠just let it out, Raven. Let it all out.â
