I know this is not what i usually post, but i wanted to say this. As a practicing and faithful Catholic i was saddened this morning hearing the news about the Pope. i think it is very important to reflect on his life and his legacy; he was an incredible man, and more importantly a man of God. he made incredible progress with the integration of the LGBTQ community into the Catholic church and was a kind, loving, and selfless man who can serve as an example for all of us to follow. please pray with me for Pope Francis.

Dear God,

Thank You for the life and love of Pope Francis.

Please welcome him into Your eternal peace, where there’s no more pain, only light and joy in Your presence.

We’re grateful for the kindness, wisdom, and hope he shared with the world.

Help us to remember his example — to care for the poor, to be gentle with one another, and to live with open hearts.

Be with everyone who’s grieving, and comfort those who feel lost or afraid.

Fill our world with peace, healing, and love, and help us carry his spirit forward in the way we live.

Amen.
