→ born and raised by her grandparents in seoul, bomi was to be a sports baby. her parents were both sports journalists and they traveled the whole world covering for sports and basically were very much dedicated to their jobs to actually abdicate of it to dedicate time to their daughter.

→ so she would either get the extreme attention from her grandparents or none at all, as a child she didn’t have much choice -- as a teen, she tried to rebel against it, but noticed that the presents and money her parents granted her was far better than their presence. 

→ the sports part comes in her being a tennis prodigy. it started as just another activity in her pampered child’s curriculum, but then her grandparents really saw the potential, and she started getting sponsor and winning championships and it was a whole Hit.
