Some Pokémon dolls, and then a figurine that she and her friend tried so hard to win. She’s had some nice luck when it came to games like these. So offering to give up one of her winnings to a lost kid to make them smile didn’t seem like a bad thing.} “…?” {/’Onee-chan?’ When did Nicole become ‘onee-chan’? Well…this kid must really love family members and having them if she’s adopting Nicole into her little circle that quickly. Oh well. It’s not a bad thing. It was actually kind of nice to be thought of as a Big Sis.

          When Kolulu mentioned her feet hurting, Nicole gave a small hum of thought. Pulling her small backpack off of her back and just putting both straps on one arm, she let go of Kolulu’s hand to reach down and scoop her up. She was still small enough to be carried. How old was she anyway? Was there a certain age when kids should stop being carried by older people? Either way, Nicole gently swings her around so she lands on her back.} “Hold on, Kolulu,” {/The last thing Nicole needed was for her to get bruises or blisters because of this heat and all the walking. She was positive Shiori would be worried out of her mind if Kolulu came home with ruined feet. Nicole could carry her for a while. Besides, her sneakers gave a little extra comfort for walking long distances.}

         “–I’m a lil’ hot, bu’ I’ll be okay,” {/No need in her worrying over Nicole. She needed to focus on looking for Shiori. Maybe with Kolulu being up higher than before now, she’d be able to see better. Maybe Shiori would be able to see her better. That mop of pink hair was hard not to notice. However, now Nicole needed to locate some place cool so they can get some soda. Something to cool drink. Somethin–} “’Icy fish’? Uhh…mos’ places usually defros’ their fish before they serve i’, Kolulu. I highly doub’ we’re gonna find a place tha’ will serve us icy fish…” {/Not to crush the kid’s dreams or anything, but Nicole had to be realistic with her. Maybe she could buy her some sushi. That was as close as to icy fish that she was going to get. Just as Nicole was about to speak up and offer the idea of sushi for her, Kolulu is holding out a coin. Giving a friendly smile, Nicole softly shakes her head.} “Keep yer coin. I have enough money fer tha bothf’ of us.”

               ❝ Ah! I can’t wait to see what you bring back for me, then!! ❞ The excitement that twinkled within her eyes could only increase; just from her own thoughts of having another friend to keep her company while both Shiori and Nicole were away kept her spirits up high. There was also the fact that this would include Tina being given another playmate if Kolulu couldn’t bring her somewhere, which was the case right now with her sitting all by herself on the dresser back at her new home; she wondered if she was just as distressed as the pinkette had been when she stood lost only minutes ago. ❝ Uuu, your present will be so nice to have, Nicole-Chan; Tina having a new friend will make it so that she won’t be sad and alone while I’m out with Shiori-Chan! ❞ Bubbling thoughts brimmed on her mind about exactly what might be the gift given to her; what if it was a cat toy, like the ones she saw in the park? She’d have to be sure that Tina shared her fish with the kitty nicely so that they both had fun eating together—or what if it was a dog? Would that mean Tina had to take it on walks?

While she thought this over, she hardly seemed to notice the other lift her up, until the rambling in her mind came spewing from her lips. ❝ Ehehe! I’m so excited and grateful alrea--UWAH! When did I get so high up?! ❞ There wasn’t any way that she could say she was scared of the other lifting her up above her head; Shiori did that often when she was really happy with something Kolulu did for her, but…it was so unexpected that her arms immediately wrapped around the other’s neck, careful not to strangle her. With a giggle of amusement and gratitude within her, she decided to add on a thought to make sure the taller girl didn’t feel like she had to apologize for the sudden lift. ❝ I’ll hold on tightly! It’s like being in a watch tower! ❞

               ❝ You’re right… ❞ She mumbled, a tad bit disappointed by the reveal that they probably couldn’t retrieve raw fish from the supermarket; how could she ask her about that since it wasn’t good for humans to eat some types of fish raw? If Kolulu could down any type of fish raw, then that didn’t mean Nicole could, right? She’d just have to settle her senses for something…that Nicole liked! Maybe the other girl liked something new and exciting; she did say she was from the…states. ❝ That’s okay! I’ll like anything that you pick for us to try, so don’t you worry about me! ❞ A pause, the girl looking at her coin then at the other, eyelashes fluttering open and shut in confusion. Would it really be alright for her to just let her buy her things for her when she had money, too? ❝ You…You really mean it? I don’t mind giving you this coin! Shiori Onee-Chan would be okay with me doing it, kufufu! ❞

I deserve to get slapped with a fish for how picky I am with my next muse from GB; I’m like, “Oh, I like these muses!” and then I go to study them to see if I can pull them off, and then I see another demon who I’m like, “Oh, I like you!” I may give up eventually and just stick to my pink daughter because she’s pure and her teenage verse will come eventually where she’s like finally able to get some more negative traits for character development; however, don’t you even think that this means sexual themes/smut for her! And to be honest, that worried Nicole. How long had Kolulu been out here with no one? Kids get hot incredibly fast and then get uncomfortable. If anything, Kolulu could have just been upset all around. Being hot, not having her sister, no one helping her. It was just heart breaking. To avoid staring at her, she turns her attention back to looking around for her sister. So far the eyes of everyone she passed had been brown or green.  No purple. But they had the black hair going for them.}

         “Inaba, an’ Shibuya. Inaba is in tha country. So i’s like…nice ou’ there real peacful like. Tha people there have really been welcomin’ ta me. An’ Shibuya is in Tokyo. So i’s a big city. I visi’ a lotta friends there an’ we like ta go shoppin’ an’ play games a’ tha arcade. Maybe one day I’ll bring ya back a prize ‘er somethin’ from tha arcade. They gotta lotta nice stuffed animals an’ dolls,” {/Did Kolulu even like that kind of stuff? Sure she was a little girl, but for all Nicole knew, she could be into action figures. Oh well, she’ll still try and bring her something and hope for the best.

          A short pause, then she gives Kolulu’s hand a slight squeeze.} “Hey, Kolulu? How bou’ I buy us some soda? Somethin’ ta keep ya cool? We won’ be able ta find yer sister if we go’ ourselves headaches from tha heat.” {/Well, at least Nicole. Intense heats like today always made her drowsy and nauseous. She wanted to be able to assist Kolulu, not get tired and sick so soon.}

               Immediately, at the mention of bringing her back a present, Kolulu’s pink eyes shone brighter than before, excitement dancing within her hues. ❝ You…You would bring me back a prize?! ❞ Wow! She must have been the luckiest girl on the face of this battleground to have found someone so nice! Did complete strangers really just give people gifts from meeting them so soon? It was really nice if they did, but could she really accept it since the other was doing so much for her already? ❝ You don’t have to, b-but thank you so much, Onee-Chan! You really are a nice person; no wonder you have so many friends! Uuu…but Shiori Onee-Chan is lonely and she’s an amazing person…s-so if you meet her, then she’ll have a lot of amazing friends, too, because you and all your nice friends will be nice to her! ❞ Determined to have this happen, she practically had a skip to her step, despite the pain that seared through the fabric of her handed-down shoes.

               ❝ M-Mm! My feet really hurt now, too, Nicole Onee-Chan! ❞ As much as the pink haired demon desperately wanted to keep going, her tiny feet burned; her shoes were hardly enough to keep the heat from permeating the surface and affected her skin beneath its protection. All her mind could think of—for the time being—was sitting beneath a shaded tree and playing with Tina and sipping an iced fish—raw! The thought felt like heaven compared to their exhausting adventure, even if it had only been for a mere twenty minutes; she hoped that Shiori, herself, had not stayed out too long in this heat or she might get seriously hurt! If Shiori could sense her right now and it worried the teen, Kolulu would put on a brave face to make sure she didn’t feel worse…!

               ❝ Are you okay? I’m really happy you’re helping me, but I don’t want you to get hurt… We should sit down and drink lots of water—or even eat some icy fish! I know I have a… ❞ Free hand began to search around her dress’s pocket, attempting to find the few bits of money within them. Nicole was so nice to help her, so she really wanted to make up for it all by at least giving her something to pay for things with! Retrieving a coin from within the confines of her fabric barrier, she held it out toward the other. ❝ H-Here! I was given this in case of an emergency, and I’m sure that this counts, right? Eheh! ❞
