Heyo! Let’s get a new Far Cry 5 RPC Master List going because it’s been ages since I’ve seen one. You know the drill. Reblog and add your important info in the tags such as Character Name, if they’re a canon/oc/crossover if your muse is — you guessed it, a canon, original character, or a character with a crossover verse for Far Cry 5. Additionally please add if you’re a single muse or multimuse blog. All are welcome.

Jr. Deputy blogs tag yours as “Rook” because they’re technically both canon and an OC and I think this is best to avoid confusion…for me.

While this isn’t a set list for other Far Cry games those muses are welcome to jump on this post if they have a FC5 verse/interested in interacting with FC5 muses.

I adore Fc5 and the community around it but it has been a bit vindicating to watch the fanbase dwindle to the same size that the fanbases of Fc3 and Fc3 have subsisted at since their conception. I’ve always felt that 5 was no better than the previous games and got so much more attention largely because it was the first of the series to be set in America and centered around white people - now that all of the fandoms are relatively small and insignificant, it feels less unbalanced.

out of character ;; TBF I think the biggest reason it got so much more attention in the fan community was the fact that the protag is basically a blank slate.

It allowed the fans to decide in gender, race, sexuality, etc. It allowed for people to not have to create OCs to throw into the story but instead really make the deputy /their own/. Some deputies were self inserts, some were original characters completely different to their creator some were a mix of both. Every fan was able to create a protagonist that represented what and who they wanted them to be, and allowed for much more creative freedom without running into "but in canon...." arguments.

[out of character ] I see a lot of people arguing about if the collapse dlc is canon or not and if the seeds are ooc in it or if their behaviour is perfectly ic and I'd like to remind y'all that the whole thing takes place inside Joseph's arguably rather damaged psyche and is not in any way an objective representation of things.
