one of the worst things about fandom is when people headcanon a certain character as gay and suddenly that becomes the only valid, practically unofficial-official canon reading of that character's sexuality. gay. just gay. character has shown romantic or sexual desire for women? it's comphet, don't worry, he's still gay. character isn't interested in sex much at all? it's because he hasn't fucked a man, obviously. character has lots of women friends? they are the hags to his fag, he's gay, why are you even trying. and it all seems like a very Transformative and Woke way to read a character until you step back and realize how much biphobia, acephobia, misogyny, and transphobia are baked into the adamant refusal to accept The Character as anything other than gay. it's horrendous, actually. but you will get shot in the streets for this.

There are times when Muamar has to spend the whole day at the Coronado Dam. Meeting with clients, handling transactional fixer duties... all of that boring shit. Those days are long but Luna's able to fill them with getting some silly things done for herself instead. Drop in on chooms, do a gig or two, chill out with Johnny and Nibbles at the apartment. Once it gets late enough she'll head over to Mu's garage. Usually when she knows he's on his way back she'll grab a wrench and start tuning the Weiler - just to look impressive for when he walks in. And wouldn't you know, it works every time? To both of their advantages, of course. He'll stand at the open door, leaning with arms crossed, watching her for a bit before going over to praise her. And with that same praise he'll move closer, press her into the side of the car and gift her with the smirk she fell in love with, while his hands start roaming. He'll let her know that he can teach her a better way to do it. The funny thing is they never actually get around to that part. Go figure.
