everything was perfect. the days that he had spent fearing for his life seemed, already, so far away and bev… bev had told him that she liked him, really really liked him. he felt eleven again, butterflies in his stomach and his face always hot with a blush a big smile. he’d gotten down to the beach early so he could pick out a perfect spot for them, and set up a huge picnic of food he both bought and baked himself. it was their first date, their first real date, if one wasn’t counting their feature at the aladdin when they were young. now it was really happening, and he was caught up with making sure everything looked as perfect as he felt when she arrived. “bev!” he greeted, his arms spread out in a gesture to his masterpiece. “ta-da!”

(¸.• ♛ → Ben told her where the date was going to be so she had to put herself pretty for him, she wanted this time to be like perfect so she put a dress on, a white one it was simple but beautiful, usually simple things can be beautiful and her hair was just straight and all ready to go, she looked into the mirror and yes, perfect, the girl just put some lipgloss there “Wow....” She muttered now watching what Ben did, all of that for her, for them and their date “It’s amazing, Ben, I love it” It was going to be just the most perfect date, that was for sure. The redhead approached him even more and gave him a small kiss on the cheek “Thank you, this will be perfect”

Eddie had panicked when he had woken up on the island, the FEAR of being alone causing the boy extreme nervousness, so running into his friends had provided a huge relief. “That’s great! I’m really glad to hear that.” He said with a smile. “Things are good. Better now that I know you guys are here.”

he wished he could have been like that, as brave as her, taking what she wanted, and then maybe he would have had her years ago, sure they were kids and chances are things never would have worked out back then. still, ben thought he could have used that courage, that accomplishment, although he didn’t doubt the time would come again for him to tap into it. “you like me… wow,” he knew what she was saying, they’d said they loved you to each other so many times, it was difficult to blur the lines between their friendship and their romantic relationship. of course, every time he’d said he’d loved her he had meant it completely, with the deepest part of his soul. “i mean, i guess i always kind of knew, i just never thought i’d be able to be anything more than your friend. and we don’t have to ruin our friendship, if you don’t want, that… that’s what’s most important to me, but..” he let out a breath, still incapable of believing he was telling her all the things he’d held back as a boy. “i’ve loved you since the day i met you. i don’t mean the way i love bill or the way we all love you. i love you.”

(¸.• ♛ →  Maybe it was better now, like finally saying what she feels like this when they were more mature and able to tell apart between a crush and love, now she can see the difference and it was a big one. Ben was one of her first friends that actually never judged her and defended her always and that’s something she will be grateful, everyone should be greatful to have someone like him in their lifes, he was just very nice and good and the perfect guy that every girl should want. Beverly was hearing now everything that he was saying and even if she was brave enough to take what she wants, she was still a girl and the girl can feel her cheeck with some blush and her heart beating like crazy, especially at those final words, it froze her but in a very very good way “Good...” She muttered now placing a hand on Ben’s cheek gently “Because when I was a kid, I had some feelings for you, I’ve always loved you, Ben, just before everything was  complicated and I didn’t know exactly how I was feeling” She admitted because it was true and she wanted to be honest “But when the time passed, I realized something....you were a nice person, you were always there for me and I began actually falling for you so yes....I do love you as well, like really really love love you” Making reference that it wasn’t like the love she feels for any of the guys in their group it was more than just that.

“Oh my god, Bev?!” The boy had heard that she was here too, but he still found himself surprised to see her, after so long. He welcomed the hug happily, resting his head on her shoulder. “It’s good to see you too! How are you?”

bill lets out a quiet sigh when she holds up the bag, bringing up his free hand to rub at one of his temples. “what if i had to do something important today?” he questions, not that he did but it was a valid point. “you’re so lucky i c-can’t be mad at you.” and to prove his point he takes another bite from his brownie.

(¸.• ♛ → "You don’t have to do anything and that’s why I gave you one, Richie wanted me to give you more but I told him that if he was going to do the same with Eddie one was enough, I remember the first time I tried those with him, we learned our lesson in a very hard way” Yeah, it was horrible that time, but at first it was like heaven. This time she took one of her brownies and gave a bite, it was actually pretty good “I’m glad, at least I know you can’t be but you can always be mad at Richie, I will blame everything on him” She said in a playful tone, clearly joking.

“i remember why b-but i always thought that people who b-believed those rumors were dumb.” to him it had seemed obvious that they weren’t true but people chose to believe whatever the bullies said. “you think we can all b-be happy here?” bill was definitely starting to believe it.

it was the first time she broke the distance to press her lips to his, and it meant more to ben than she could possibly know. no, she had never pushed him away when he’d kissed her before, but it had been under dire circumstances, the only time he could muster the courage. beverly on the other hand, was the bravest girl he knew, probably the bravest person regardless. he was certain she wasn’t rushing to kiss him because she’d rather kiss bill, and he would understand. but she wanted to kiss him too, and she was and it was like their first real kiss. ben was sure his heart was going to explode. “i don’t think i even know how long i’ve wanted you to do that.”

When they pulled away a bit, the girl looked at him and smiled a bit at what he just said “Well, I’m glad I did that, I like you, Ben, so much since the first day we met, only that back time we were kids and at least I couldn’t really figure things out but I do and when I want something I just take it, I don’t like to wait” She muttered now with a small smile, that’s how she was and besides, she had a lot things going on and not just IT but also other things back at home so even think aboyt boys was the last thing on her list, she had a crush on Bill but he’s just her best friend now and Ben was a whole different story.

“You sure about that?” The boy teased, grinning. “Nah, I won’t be chasing them. They can let it hang out as long as they want to. Wouldn’t bother me. You’d probably just sit there, covering your eyes. Or you would actually make me chase them to put pants on so that you aren’t scarred for life.” He could totally see that happening. “Another fire? When did the first one happen?”

(¸.• ♛ → She rolled her eyes when he said that but like playfully still with a small smile now looking at him “Of course you are going to chase them because I’m going to make you, I wouldn’t like that sight of them” A small sigh escaped from her lips looking at him “Oh, right, that was with me...doesn’t matter, moving on” She totally forgot about that, she was good at cooking but that they she was distracted “Just do what I’m telling you”
