WHAT IS BE MORE CHILL?

Although you're probably already a BMC fan if you're looking through this blog, I'll give a brief description for the people who are just here for posts that look cool XD

"Be More Chill" is a musical written by Joe Iconis and based on a book with the same name by Ned Vizzini. Both versions follow Jeremy Heere, a teenage loser who's just trying to survive high school and impress his crush, Christine Canigula. Everything changes, though, when his bully (Rich Goranski) offers to give him a pill that would change his life. The story then follows Jeremy as he makes horrible life choices :D

WHAT IS BE LESS CHILL?

"Be Less Chill" is a roleswap AU created by yours truly! Essentially, "what if the SQUIP were actually a cool teenager who needed help being more approachable?" The story follows teenager Keanu Quantum, a young boy who's simply too cool for his own good. Too intimidating and aloof for any of his peers to truly connect with, Keanu decides to take a pill that will give him his own digital nerd, Jeremy Heere, to help him be less chill.

While I haven't had time to actually draw anything, I certainly have ideas for the SQUID Squad (such an original name for the AIs I know, but it was either that or the sneep snorp squad).

Jeremy: I'd imagine he's kinda like the old Zelda games in the sense that he's made of rough, choppy 3D shapes. He's also kinda like a hologram? He doesn't have a form that looks physical in the sense that he's lowkey translucent. He'd keep Jeremy's overall nerdy vibe, but I think his default form would be more "nerd from the late 1900s", since that's when he was created. And I personally can't see him without regular glasses, but y'all go crazy cuz I think a monocle would be funny :3

Michael: Oh, he's TOTALLY a 16-BIT looking mf. I'd imagine he's a lot less detailed than Jeremy, since his design more heavily focuses on colors to be recognizable, just like retro Nintendo games. Still a nerdy loser, but again, more from the 1900s.

So ofc no pressure for this cuz it's just a silly idea, but BMC AU where the Squip is actually this really cool, aloof kid, but he has trouble socializing and making real friends because of this. Wanting to actually relate with his peers, he decides to take a SQUID (Super Quantum Unit Intel Device, im so clever I know ToT), a device that will assign him a digital loser (Jeremy) to guide him through the basics of ✨not being a dick✨
