Takeo Takei's attendance card. The April 1957 sticker depicts a new school bag for the start of the new term. (In Japan, school begins in April.) At this school, black cats, rabbits, dogs, and monkeys all attend together in harmony - a model of coexistence. Mothers even come to say goodbye. The individual gestures of each student on their way to school are particularly charming, true to Takei Takeo's distinctive style.
