Iâm new to Tumblr. Iâm a male, and currently under the age of 18. I enjoy things like Transformers, Lego, Star Wars, 80s movies, Lackadaisy, Five Nights at Freddyâs, Rock afire Explosion, Chuck E. Cheese, and Minecraft. I also write fanfics on Archive of Our Own. My account name is âBeachbear2014â. Feel free to ask me anything about the things I listed. But I will NOT discuss 18+ topics with anyone.
It has officially been 1 year since I have started the Frepper Fanfic Just The Two Of Us. I posted the first chapter âMissionâ on July 30th, 2025. I want to express my gratitude and appreciation for ALL my readers and supporters. So thank you for reading and supporting. I am looking forward to more chapters, possible rewrites, and spinoffs for JTTOU in the future. I first got into Lackadaisy when the animated Pilot first came out. I was a big fan of it, but soon became interested in other indie shows such as The Amazing Digital Circus. But in mid 2025 I started to become a HUGE fan of Lackadaisy. Iâve always been a fan of history and action. So Lackadaisy was my bread and butter. I soon began to make up stories about Lackadaisy, which previously had been ideas used for previous interests. But I had never posted any of my stories or ideas.
That was until I posted âThe Story of Carroll McMurrayâ in June, which was a big leap towards becoming more active and engaging in fan culture. With support from my parents I became more comfortable with showing and expressing my love for certain things. And the very first reader of my stories was my own mom. But once I posted the Carroll story, I soon realized I wanted to post more. So I began to develop Frepper stories. Since I was a big fan of Calvin and I loved his relationship with Ivy. So I posted âI donât deserve youâ on July 16th 2025. Which was a big success, bigger than the Carroll story. So I developed other parts. Which soon became the fanfic âJust The Two of Usâ. Which got its name from a song by the same name, created by singer Bill Withers. Since I always found that song to be a perfect representation of what I saw Calvin and Ivyâs relationship as.
Some big inspirations that helped motivate me and inspired me to begin writing have been the AO3 authors âAveenâ, âCasuallyCompetentâ, âFunLogâ, âWarioTheMosquito77â, âWolfman666â, and âSnelly_ESQâ. All these amazing authors and their amazing works helped inspire me to create and grow as a person. But I want to dedicate most of my success and motivation to three people:
Burelandon642
LackadaisySillyBlank
SradlightStab1
Their constant support and encouragement has helped me connect with my audience, and helped me improve my writing, and has helped me stay motivated to continue my stories. So I want to thank the three of them for their support, kind words, and inspiring creations. Especially BureLandon642âs comments on the different chapters in JTTOU, LackadaisySillyBlankâs funny and entertaining series, and their illustrations of the Carroll McMurray story. And Sradlightstabâs numerous fanfics and fanart of Carroll McMurray and Frepper. Which was the driving force that got me into writing fanfics.
Overall, I want to thank every Lackadaisy fan and causal fan for opening their fandom to me and accepting me as a fellow Fanfic writer. This is one of the best fandomâs Iâve ever been apart of, and the first fandom in which Iâve posted content for. And Iâm glad Lackadaisy exists and that its fans are wonderful and happy people. Iâm looking forward to a long and happy future with this fandom and a long and well written future for my stories. I love everyone and I love posting for each and every one of you. I hope everyone has a great week and a great life. This fandom means so much to me.
It makes me so happy to see fanart of one of my stories. The way itâs drawn is exactly how I imagined it in my head as I originally wrote it! Btw this isnât my artwork. All credit goes to Lackadaisysillyblank!
Do you think Calvin âFreckleâ McMurray from Lackadaisy is on the autism spectrum?
Yes
No
Not canonically but in my headcanon he is
No, but he definitely has some form of neurodivergence
Voting ended onJul 10
This art was drawn and belongs to Tracy J. Butler!!!
In my opinion I do feel as though he has some characteristics of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Given his adverse reactions to Ivyâs advances and his very specific eating habits (chocolate milk and sandwiches). Along with his âcrazy sideâ, very quiet and shy demeanor, and (from what Tracy the creator says) his fascination with guns and baseball trivia. I also noticed that most of the time Calvin isnât making eye contact with the people he speaks with or is with. Which can stem from deep discomfort or neurodivergence. All these together, I do feel as though slightly hint towards a form of autism or at least some neurodivergence.
Personally in my fanfic âJust The Two of Usâ he is portrayed as having certain characteristics of an autistic person. And is of course undiagnosed. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. Iâd love to hear otherâs opinions and thoughts on this.
DISCLAIMER!!!
I donât mean to offend or insult any autistic people or neurodivergent individuals from my post. This is just a question Iâve had and a head canon I have. I donât mean to sensationalize or glorify autism or neurodivergence since I know it can be a very sensitive and difficult thing to live and deal with. And I also am neurodivergent (Iâd prefer not to say what I have). This is just a headcanon and theory I have since we still know very little about Calvin in Lackadaisy.
This is a short Motherâs Day story I made. I did not write the song used in this story. I only wrote the story. Hope you enjoy! Happy Motherâs Day!
âMommy? Mommy? Mommy?â A young voice asked quietly as Sophie felt a small paw poke her back. She groaned as she opened her eyes, pulling herself out of her peaceful slumber. She looked at the back of her husband Ransom. Who was hanging off the side of the bed, snoring. âMommy?â That same young voice asked, slighlty louder this time. Sophie sat up, and turned to her left, there standing at the side of her bed was her 4 year old son Roark Rickaby. Or Rocky as she called him. She smiled as she gazed at the sight of her beloved son. âMommy?â Rocky asked looking up at her, his curious and adventurous eyes staring at her, like little beacons of light, shooting off happiness and child like wonder. She yawned as she began to formulate a reply. âYes my little syrup muncher?â Sophie asked teasingly as she stretched. Pulling out the knots in her tail, and limbs. Her son giggled at her name calling. âI canât sleep.â Rocky said as he walked closer to her bed, his tiny claws gripping the blanket, as he dragged himself on top of Sophieâs bed.
Sophie turned as she saw Rocky sit down on top of her legs. She sighed. As much as she wanted to let Rocky sleep in their bed, she knew Ransom would be upset. He was very traditional in how he wanted their son to be raised. Not as traditional as her sister Nina, but still traditional. âIâm sorry sweetie, I canât let you sleep in mommyâs bed anymore.â Sophie said as she reached out and brought Rocky closer to her. Rocky looked up at her, his eyes welling with tears, his lip pursing. âPlease?â Rocky asked. Sophie wanted to give in but she couldnât. But she then got an idea. âTell ya what how about I play you a song on my violin. I know the perfect song thatâll help you fall asleep.â Sophie said excitedly, hoping if she sounded excited then her son would feel excited. âYes please.â Rocky replied as he crawled off of Sophieâs lap, his bare paws landing on the floor.
She then heard the pitter patter of his tiny paws against the wooden floor, as he ran towards his room. She smiled happily. She loved how her violin playing made Rocky so excited. She threw the covers off of her body, standing up out of bed. She stretched and yawned once more. She then bent down onto the ground, and pulled out her violin case. She took it from its case and began walking to her sonâs room. As she walked in she saw her son sitting anxiously in his bed, all his stuffed animals and little trinkets gathered around him, as a makeshift audience. She chuckled, as she pulled up a chair, sitting next to her sonâs bed. âLetâs get you nice and comfy first.â Sophie said as she grabbed her sonâs blanket. Rocky laid down, his head hitting his pillow. Sophie then pulled it over his body. He shuffled under his blanket as he got comfortable, she then heard him let out a small purr. âThere ya go my little snuggle bunny.â Sophie said as she pet her sonâs head. âCan you play the song now mommy?â Rocky asked, as he looked up at her. âOf course sweetie.â Sophie said as she sat up, and pulled up her violin. âThis is a song I sing to myself when I canât sleep.â Sophie said as she put the bow to her violin and began to play and sing.
âOh, the summer time is coming,
And the trees are sweetly blooming,
And the wild mountain thyme
Grows around the blooming heather.
Will you go, laddie, go?
And weâll all go together
To pull wild mountain thyme
All around the blooming heather,
Will you go, laddie, go?â
Sophie paused as she glanced at her son. His once wide awake eyes, were now starting to droop, and he was beginning to mouth the words to the song. She smiled happily as she continued to play and sing.
âI will build my love a bower
By yon clear and crystal fountain,
And all around the bower,
Iâll pile flowers from the mountain.
I will roam the country oâer
Through that dark land so dreary;
And all the spoils I find,
Iâll bring to my darling dearie.
If my true love, he wonât have me,
I will surely find another
To pull wild mountain thyme
All around the blooming heather.
Oh, the summer time is coming
And the trees are sweetly blooming
And the wild mountain thyme
Grows around the blooming heather.
Will you go, laddie, go?
And weâll all go together
To pull wild mountain thyme
All around the blooming heather,
Will you go, laddie, go?
Will you go, laddie, go?
Will you go laddie, go?
To pull wild mountain thyme.â
Sophie softly sang the lyrics, until her voice was nothing but a whisper. She looked down as she continued to play her violin. Her son was curled up under his blanket, his eyes now fully closed, and his breathing soft and steady. She removed the bow from her violin, stopping the music. She then set it down next to her. She leaned over her son, and kissed his head. âI will always be here for you my dear. I love you.â Sophie whispered as she then sat up, looking over her son as he slept peacefully. âI lub you momma.â Rocky muttered back sleepily, as he then turned over and faced away from her. Sophie smiled happily, as she began to tear up. Her son was the most precious child in the entire world. She canât wait to see him grow up.
Lackadaisy: The Story of Carroll McMurray is an amazing, incredible, and brilliant story, and the greatest Lackadaisy story ever (in my opinion). It stays true to the Lackadaisy lore, and builds around it to keep the lore untouched, and create a greater, more detailed story. And the personalities attach well to what we currently now about the characters. @beachbearprime basically took the smallest possible scraps of info we know and turned them into fully fleshed out characters, creating a story that came out of pure creativity and talent. And, it shows out more than any other story. It hits a lot of positive areas that I believe make a good, meaningful story. As of now, I have read almost the entire length, being the longest story I have ever read a large fraction of. It has been read around the world over 1000 times, and is my most read story by a long shot. It has also been read by many other talented writers like foldedchip, FunLog, Nun1m0usely, but their talents have yet to compare to what Beachbear has written.Â
And thereâs just one question. Just a quick question, I assure you⌠(đ¤)
Why now? Why did I really start illustrating now? I have heard of this story for about 8 months. Thatâs about the time Iâve been in the fandom, actually. So why did I decide now to go through? Why did I decide to make this one story instead of anything else?
In order to look back this far, we need to go so far back, to the point where I had just joined the fandom.Â
This image⌠sucks. So bad to the point I downright might hate it but this is sadly where we begin. July 16th 2025. I drew this as to be an image in Sillyf**k, which I luckily did not add.
Now, at this point in time, nothing really started yet. But this is an extreme beta of what would technically be illustrated Carroll.
Soon, August 8th 2025. I found the The Story of Carroll McMurray, read like the newest chapter or something and left with a very odd bookmark. Thatâs it. In fact, that would have been it, forever. But I kept reading, to see what it was about. It was rather interesting for most of the the beginning, I read through some of it around August 15th. But the real intriguing portions were read on August 21st.
And⌠I was amazed. Actually surprised. I had, at that point never actually seen a story that advanced, that well-made, that⌠good. It was full of all sorts of small tiny details. I made a subscription to the story that day. Looking back at this now, my life would have actually been different without reading this. But every little step closer to it was as if it was destined for me. And I loved it. I actually adored this story.Â
But it would soon have some competition.Â
On September 1st, Merri_Mask updated their own story on some Halloween prompts from 2024, doing the 30th one, since they couldnât complete it of that year. The day after, September 2nd, I saw it, promptly bookmarked at, and went across my merry day. Around this time the Carroll story was gaining some important updates, mainly ones centered when Sophie and Nina and Carroll were together, and everything that leads up to the main story.Â
But then I read the other one. And soon, I was rather divided. I couldnât pick one story. Both were so soild, good, and full of the things I liked⌠I couldnât really have a favorite story.
But if it wasnât important for Carroll, then I wouldnât have mentioned it. Except, somehow, it a strange turn of events, it was.
Now to give some context: the âHalloween promptsâ were this thing called⌠Inktober. And Inktober 2025 was in less than a month from then (Sept. 2nd to Oct. 1st) So with me officially done with reading 2024âs Inktober, I decided I would do my own. On September 25th, I released the story, but it didnât have anything. Yet. On October 1st, I released the chapter titled âMustacheâ. I made one last chapter for Sillyf**k before the hiatus, and it was now on.
Most stories were.. well⌠varied, to say the least. Varied as in âwow this shit sucks so bad I WANT TO DELETE THISâ to â⌠this doesnât suck⌠too much!â
But this is not the point. Where is Carroll in all this? Well let me explain about what leads up to this insane turning point.
October 14th. Merri_Mask says âAre you planning on making a comic?â to the most recent story I have made for that day. It was simple, but did give me an idea. Around the time I was concocting Sillyf*** into what it is today I was thinking of making a comic as a visual aid to help imagine the sceneries and scenarios better. But this was the first real push to do it. But the real kicker was just days ahead of me.
October 18th. I barely had enough time to make it for that day. Barely. And with âArcticâ next to do, I once again had to think about what would be the idea. And I same up with three: Rocky killing Santa, actually something that has to do with the Arctic⌠or make a story about⌠Nina and Sophie. With the poles representing⌠them. The idea was dumb. I have 0 idea why I thought of it. But soon it came the time.Â
And I chose one. BUT UNFORTUNATELY the thing is⌠when I got a plot idea, I had to think about what would be a good ending, for about most of the day. One realistic, one simple. Thatâs it. Except⌠both of them werenât done. But one wasnât. It was planned out from the beginning.
Nina and Sophie.
This one, simple, tiny decision caused an effect so profound, so large, so impactful that it completely changed how this would have gone. From just a 1/3 chance.
Well⌠more than that. The chance was actually:
The chance I chose Carroll out of everything else, that I would come back and actually read it, that I would be amazed, then I would see Merri_Maskâs book, and that I would follow through as well to this point.
So all of those chances, occurred, all in order, just for this to happen. Crazy. And I mean it. It truly is.
I pulled up Carroll McMurray (since I quickly found Tracyâs lore to be too short to work with after just 1 paragraph) And over the course of over 1 hour I had written down and uploaded Arctic, giving not a thought to it as I went to sleep that day (under the guise that it wouldn't be that good in the morning)
And soon, I had awoke on the morning of October 19th, 2025.
And I felt...Â
Like I just read the most incredible story written by mortal hands. Like the absurdity of just how good it was finally came to me, in one massive instantaneous burst in my first waking moments. It felt like I had learned a universal lesson in that literature. I felt the greatest feeling of ecstatic euphoria from anything I have read yet. That day, I finally agreed, almost certainly so, that Carroll was the greater story.
So, where does this actually begin?Â
Well... A lot later, surprisingly.
Eventually, I completed the story 31st, continued Sillyf*** on the 7th, and that was it for a while. Pure, and complete radio silence. For two months I made 0 progress.Â
That was until 2026. You see, that year I really wanted to get better at art. It was a new, wide canvas for me to chose what Iâd do for an entire year. And on the 3nd, for the first time, I decided to finally make this into a real thing. You see, a few days before New Years I wanted to turn Carroll into an actual, physical written version. But I didnât have any push to do it. And I didnât know where to start, either. How would I do it? In a sildeshow-esque video? On AO3 somehow? How would I crop text? How?!?!?
But still, despite this huge breakthrough, I swiftly ignored it. But the idea was stuck in the back of my head. But I had Sillyf*** to work on, so I was unable to do it.
BUT What if I told you another insane series of events happens AGAIN which would be the final straw for this?
Sillyf*** mainly worked daily, with an update again, and again, and again, daily, for a long period of time, this being the longest time I managed to do: 1 month. But soon I found it impossible to continue, since I could only stretch the plot out so long. So I continued my streak in the forms of small stories which Iâd been wanting to write for a while.
Now when I first made Arctic I knew it was quite good; the best writing Iâd made up to that point; but it wasnât perfect. I had some moments which I wanted to fix in the two months Iâd gone without doing much else, and then was the perfect moment. So in the span of a hour I wrote down the extension of Arctic: âArctic: Try 2â.Â
I should note that up to that moment Carroll was LONG over. Long over. It âendedâ around the 12th chapter, actually âendedâ at the 20th, but inched forward just a tiny bit more for the final stretch âendingâ at chapter 30, but updated itâs war chapters, ending fully on October 31st. The end. For real.Â
But Beachbear, upon reading this, caused an unknown chain of events to occur, causing Beachbear to rewrite Carroll completely from the start. Again. Seventy thousand words, rewritten. To this day I canât imagine the patience one single person could have to rewrite an entire epic-length story from just⌠that. One of my works.
This was, to me, the perfect opportunity to make the art. I had also seen this wonderful art of Rocky and Sophie based off a story which inspired me a lot into making this decision. But I still kept trying to procrastinate. That was until Beachbear made another chapter in the rewritten story (yes, it took two chapters). Now, I had to keep up, I wanted to have a fresh new story to work on and illustrate every time, actually being able to go at the pace of this new version. Be there, or be square.
And so, IÂ asked BBÂ politely on Feb 2nd if I could make a version of the story, but illustrated. A day later, he agreed. And so, on that day, I made my first ever drawing.
Now, you wonât see this in the real thing. This was something from before Carroll wakes up, and made seconds before midnight on February 3rd. It was never released, and you can tell why. The background is white, not black (which was a decision I made on the first page; luckily enough it worked well) and the lines are very, very bland. So I instead went with the other 70 images, and put them together to createâŚ
Nightmare, on the 7th.
I uploaded the images through a Tumblr sideblog, took the links, and placed them as images. (A day later I had to fix the quality issues in a draft which will soon be deleted.)Â
Soon, after days and days of work, I then completed Leisure on the 15th. However, the night afterwards, Beachbear had released several new chapters, which I could not be able to catch up with. I worked day and night, with every bit of my free time, even sacrificing sleep time to create Draft on the 18th. With this new, long task at hand, youâd think I would continue my pace, and still be working today, right?Â
I⌠havenât got to it since. Technically. You see, I decided to contact one of the writers mentioned above @foldedchip, who is also an incredible artist you should see them itâs really really good but basically, the day before I released Draft, I was worried I couldnât get across making serious art. So I went and asked her in DMâs (Iâm saying this publicly; hoping so hard she wonât be mad) and she told me to not draw like with balls anymore (this is a very shortened way of saying it; she was very polite about it) and I completely, totally, absolutely, utterlyâŚ
ignored that message. I asked her again a day later and she gave the same idea, which I also ignored. I was so deeply, irrationally comfortable drawing that way that I pushed away any idea to⌠not draw like a five year old. But that night, I had a shower thought. I started to really realize what it looked like for other people. Over the course of a few days I realized my drawing style was different⌠in the worst way possible. This odd design was the worst possible outcome for my style⌠ever. I couldnât learn anatomy, shadows, details, anything.
Because I was so incredibly lazy I COMPLETELY ignored any steps on making art, and skipped right ahead using this dumb workaround, which I became massively engrossed in. Some of you might remember my first tumblr post having me make a joke about my style âslowingâ me down. But now I had realized just how badly it had changed me. I could have been drawing real, good art! Not this cartoony, silly shit! It massively changed the art I could have been making today. But its damage was done, I could do no more than abandon the old style, and learn to draw something actually good. Something actually great. Do something that wasnât the dumb workaround.
Except⌠I couldnât. You see, in making art, there is a simple, obvious principle. The more and more stuff you draw, the greater the chance to make mistakes. Perspective mistakes, line mistakes, coloring mistakes, shadow mistakes, there was too much at stake! So I froze. I was so scared at messing up some little thing, and making my art, my hard work⌠look⌠bad. Or âcringeâ. Once again I was stuck procrastinating the obvious goal I had once then set myself. So you know what I did?
Nothing! Thatâs right! NOTHING!Â
But soon, it was March! A brand new month for me to begin once again, arise like the sun, and turn a new le
Thatâs it. The end. Really. At least, if it werenât for one thingâŚ
Here it is. The first frame. After the downtime, I made this. It is the only frame yet, but it looks better. It isnât perfect, but itâs good enough. And the thing about something good enough is that once it is⌠then you donât have to try anymore. You made it far enough, and now⌠itâs perfect. For now, for you, and for me. And thatâs all that mattersâŚ
I finally have finished my collection of my favorite indie animation characters! I got Kinger on my birthday, Freckle for Christmas, and I finally received Ivy last night (canât have Freckle without Ivy). Iâm so excited to finally own the merchandise of my favorite characters and indie animation projects.
I found him outside, I took him in, he was really cold and scared, I showed him some butterfly videos on Youtube and he calmed down. This is my first The Amazing Digital Circus plushie, and my first piece of indie animation merch. Iâm so happy to own my favorite characters in TADC!

This sudden and nearly deadly attack, ruined his life, the shock and embarrassment of being left horribly scared, drove Calvin insane. His DID became more severe, and he developed two different personalities. He adopted the moniker: Two-Face

After failing to pay on time, the mobsters caused an accident in his lab, which resulted in Dr. Ransom Rickaby being unable to survive in warm temperatures. The Scarecrow: Viktor Vasko. Forced into a war at a young age. This man, witnessed the brutality of war. He saw many men go mad from the fear of battle. He became fascinated with fear, and once the war was over, he studied psychology, in order to understand fear. He soon became a doctor at St. Gotham Asylum. It was here where he did his inhumane experiments. Despite all the complaints from both patients and doctors, Dr. Vasko remained a doctor there for 15 years. While he worked there, he used a form of green gas called âFear Toxinâ to illicit fear responses from patients, making them see their worst fears, this was to help them face their fears. At least that was what he told the higher ups. In actuality he used this âFear Toxinâ to torture and test out different dosages and mixtures, in order to see which mixtures or combinations caused the most fear and pain. His sociopathic behavior and lack of empathy for others, helped him create a persona that would instill fear in every individual, no matter their age, or mental state. He became: The Scarecrow.
Iâm so excited to announce this but Iâve finally completed my fan fiction about the backstory of Carroll McMurray. I started it 6/9/2025 and now Iâve completed it 9/26/2025. Iâm so proud because it was my very first fan fiction. Just to let everyone know Carroll McMurray is Freckleâs dead father. The only things we know about him is that he died in 1921. So I took the very few fan interpretations of him and combined them with my own personal beliefs on who he was and I created the story. There are 30 chapters, but 4 of them are not stories and are instead explanations, details, timeline of events, and his overall backstory, the rest are about the many experiences I believe he experienced. This story can be read on AO3 and it does cover some heavy topics such as, PTSD, Rape (although it isnât mentioned by name), Child abuse, and suicide, so please be warned. The story can be used for the Webcomic canon and the animated show canon, so you can read it with either continuity in mind.
Here it is hope you people enjoy:

Am I the only person that immediately thinks of Rocky Rickaby when listening to Weird Al Yankovic? Like their voices and personalities fit each other perfectly. When I listen to âI Love Rocky Roadâ âTackyâ âI lost on Jeopardyâ âFoilâ and âLike A Suergonâ I immediately think of Rocky singing these songs, and annoying everyone in the Lackadaisy, but they donât have the heart to stop him.
Like you canât tell me these two people donât give off the same chaotic good energy and crazy vibes!
I am new to writing fan fictions, and the Lackadaisy community (I joined near the beginning of 2025). But I have always been curious about one character. Calvinâs father. We know his name is Carroll McMurray and he died of mundane causes in 1921, but thatâs all. So I took these things and made my interpretation of the events that led up to his death in 1921. This story delves into topics such as, domestic and child abuse (not by Nina or Carroll), death/murder, post traumatic stress disorder, suicide, gun violence, and war. But there are some wholesome moments in the earlier chapters. My story can be used interchangeably for the comic canon and the future tv show canon. I was inspired by the Tumblr user sradlightstab1. Their art and fanfics helped inspire me to create my own. I HIGHLY recommend checking their work out. I hope you people enjoy my story. Hereâs the link:
