HMS BOUNTY ....
.... was the first European yacht to sail to Aitutaki on 11 April 1789. Lieutenant Fletcher Christian and his mutineers must have had the vahinis at the #Aitutaki paradise island on their mind so much that on 28 April 1789, they put Captain Bligh overboard in a dinghy that got him to the Dutch colony of Batavia. Bligh later became the Governor of New South Wales from 1806 to 1808.
