Changing Yamaha SR250 headlight
It turns out that changing yamaha SR250 headlight isn't as easy as it seems. Below you can find detailed photos of this tiresome process executed on my '99 motorcycle . Unfortunatelly almost whole of the motorcycle wiring is stored in the big ugly stock lamp so the main problem is where to put all the wires once you buy new and probably smaller lamp. Also several parts/brackets will need to be added so make sure you have appropriate tools to manufacture them, This is how the stock lamp looks like:
After removing a few screws you will see this spaghetti monster:
I highly recommend lableing all the wires and disconnecting the battery before detaching the lamp:
Next remove the headlight frame. Note that this is the part to which the turn signals are mounted, so you will need to get a new pair of turn signals and the appropriate fork mount. This is how my bullet signals looks like freshly unboxed (approx 70mm in length)
In our design all the cables were supposed to fit in the little box mounted to the bottom yoke in the place where old headlight bracket was mounted.
The bottom mount headlight was fixed to the separate bracket going from one fork to another just in front of the cables box. Turn signals were mounted on the forks (ground is on the motorcycle frame and all metal elements). Horn was detached and mounted on the frame to make the cleaner impression of the bike front.
This is the final result and the comparison to the standard headlamp bike:
MPD producing too much logs in /var/log/kern.log
kern.log(1.5GB!) is flooded with:
May 19 14:17:57 raspberrypi kernel: [782820.471201] delay: estimated 0, actual 144
This happens because of the USB Creative Play sound card. To filter logs and walkaround the problem add the following line to the /etc/rsyslog.conf
:msg,contains,"delay: estimated 0" ~ *.* /var/log/kern.log
PlusOneButton SecurityException in Android
Occures when button is launched from different task than it was initialized in. Happens in all singleInstance activities.
Setup internet WMA radio on Raspberry Pi
Assuming audio output is configured.
Install MPC and MPD
apt-get install mpc mpd
Edit /etc/mpd.conf
audio_output {
type "alsa"
name "My ALSA Device"
device "hw:0,0"
# format "44100:16:2"
# mixer_device "default"
# mixer_control "PCM"
# mixer_index "0"
}
Add stream to the queue.
mpc add mms://stream.polskieradio.pl/program3
Restart mpd
/etc/init.d/mpd restart
Play
mpc play
Profit!
adjust volume up/down with alsamixer.
