My Dying Bride komt met nieuw album Feel The Misery, uit op 18 september

Het nieuwste wapenfeit in het arsenaal van My Dying Bride komt uit op 18 september. Feel The Misery verschijnt via Peaceville Records. Distributie in de Benelux via Suburban Records.

De acht nieuwe songs op het album vormen een verpletterende epic-doom-luistertrip en markeren de terugkeer van gitarist Calvin Robertshaw in de band. My Dying Bride presenteert met Feel The Misery het zwaarste en meest duistere album in de bijna 25-jarige geschiedenis van de band. De opnames van het album werden voltooid in de Academy Studios in Dewsbury, waar alle ‘classic’ albums uit de beginperiode van de band werden opgenomen, waaronder het debuut As Flowers Wither uit 1992.

Thematisch levert My Dying Bride wederom een zware plaat af, vol melancholie en wreedheid. De band over het album: “The crushing of hearts and the solemn farewells to friends and lovers twinned with the destruction of flesh and the passions of cruelty are laid neatly for the listener to devour and savour. Eight new compositions detailing the path of life through dark doors and the burdens we all must endure simply to make it to the end, My Dying Bride have returned with a foreboding new album which may enlighten, delight and consume the soul in one epic sitting”.

My Dying Bride zwaait de scepter in het doom metal genre sinds het debuutalbum As Flowers Wither in 1992 werd uitgebracht op Peaceville Records. Met hun zware, atmosferische sound zijn ze in een kwart eeuw uitgegroeid tot één van de meest essentiële en legendarische doom-metal bands.

SKINDRED - VOLUME

SKINDRED are currently putting the finishing touches on their 6th studio album, entitled ‘Volume’, which will be the bands first release on Napalm Records and is set to see the light of day on October 30th 2015!

The album was recorded at The Strongroom studio in East London and was produced by longtime collaborator James 'Lerock' Loughrey (previously worked with the likes of White Zombie, Depeche Mode, Manic Street Preachers).

Pentagram - Curious Volume

Peaceville – 28 augustus 2015

De legendarische heavy / doom metal band Pentagram is weer bij elkaar voor een nieuw studio album. Curious Volume is het achtste album en wordt op 28 augustus door Peaceville Records uitgebracht op CD en LP. Elf klassieke heavy metal songs van Pentagram met als kernleden Victor Griffin op gitaar, Greg Turley op bas en Bobby Liebling op zang. Op de drums horen we Pete Campbell.

Het album is opgenomen door de Zweedse producer Mattias Nilsson, met aanvullende opnames van Travis Wyrick. Deze laatste won al eerder een Grammy voor zijn werk en was ook verantwoordelijk voor het vorige Pentagram album Last Rites. Al het artwork van de plaat komt van de hand van de Nederlandse kunstenaar Richard Schouten.

Meer dan vier decennia keihard werken (lees vooral even hun wiki) heeft Pentagram een plek in de heavy metal geschiedenisboeken opgeleverd. Het is een cultband met een wereldwijde en trouwe groep fans. En terecht!

New HUNTRESS Album Static Coming September 25 On Napalm Records!

California metallers HUNTRESS have completed their third studio album titled Static to be released via Napalm Records on September 25, 2015. The highly-anticipated record was produced by Paul Fig (Grammy nominated engineer, Alice in Chains, Deftones, Trivium, Ghost BC) and Jim Rota (Fireball Ministry, Executive Producer Sonic Highways series, Producer Sound City Movie), Engineered and Mixed by Paul Fig. Pre-orders of the album are now available exclusively via the Napalm Records Webstore.

Vance Kelly (Slayer, Alice In Chains, Evanescence, Ghost BC) has once again delivered stunning album artwork for HUNTRESS. The band’s creative unity with Vance Kelly remains strong, having also created album covers for Spell Eater and Starbound Beast.

HUNTRESS vocalist Jill Janus comments:

“The evolution of HUNTRESS bleeds into Static our third and most prolific album. It is the heaviest and catchiest record we’ve written. The process of writing and recording was new and exciting, at times very difficult for all involved, having to record in between relentless touring. Never have I been so honest in my approach to songwriting; I reveal life-long personal obstacles that I previously feared weaving into my lyrics. I’m so pleased to reveal the cover art for Static by my treasured art warlock Vance Kelly. Hail Heavy Metal!”

HUNTRESS will be hitting the high seas this September as part of the Mötorboat Cruise. The band will appear alongside heavyweights Mötorhead, Slayer, and Anthrax just to name a few. Expect high-energy sets from HUNTRESS featuring favorites off the first two albums and new head bangers from Static. The cruise takes place September 28th – October 2nd. Additional tour dates in support of Static will be announced soon!
