I wanted to do a little OC explained bc I really liked this concept and initially how I ended up with certain pairs.

In her initial creation, Taji was always supposed to be an OC for the Bluelock verse (hence, her picture shows the collar thing from the cover arts). Although she's shipped with most of the adult characters in the series (adult coaches + anri), her main pair is Ego and their pairing is what I consider as the closest to canon.

How she ended up as a pair for Mymo is purely from the idea that I wanted Taji and Mymo become a multiverse paralel to Taji and Ego. Just much more toxic.

The lore for Bluelock Taji is really just she was Ego's best friend during highschool. They're not exactly blending in and Taji just freshly moved in from Indonesia. She initially wanted to pursue basketball but quickly realized that she's not cut for it and it'll be a high risk high reward thing. And she's not going to give up that opportunity to live comfortably for a pipe dream. So she ended up becoming a dietician/nutritionist, and a well known one at that. But during that, Ego pursued his soccer dreams and they lost contact.

Taji ended up working in Bluelock after Anri realized they need a professional food control and lightly blackmailed Taji to work for them. So she initially works for Bluelock a little bit underpaid.

Really the most toxic this pair can get is the initial cat and mouse game between Ego who's pursuing Taji. Purely because of some communication and misunderstanding over Taji potentially dating a famous person.

Meanwhile Taji's gachiakuta counterpart, with Mymo is really as toxic as it can get. In short, Mymo was a controlling jerk who found Taji vulnerable and used it to his advantage. She did fall in love with him somewhere in the middle, but he was still toxic regardless. And he was smooth with it too, so when she realized, she's already neck deep in his stuff. Even after Doll fest arc, and she's saved by the cleaners, Mymo left such a significant impact to Taji, its pretty irreversible.
