My old person take today is that I feel like people have normalized being on your phone every single moment including when you're spending "quality" time with others so much that they're defensive if someone isn't ok with it. Yes, you have a problematic relationship with your phone and social media if you physically cannot put it down for a couple of hours to like, have dinner with your friends. It's a show of respect for other people's time and energy as well as important to be present and connect with people around you. Your parents who told you no phone at the table were right for that one.

I'm experiencing footwear-induced stress, which is a sentence I never though I'd say before.

Dropped my favourite pair of boots off at the cobbler this morning because after 10+ years of service the soles split. These boots are my babies and you can't buy them anymore, so if the cobbler can breathe more life into them I'll pay any amount. Now I just wait, aaaa.

#I also have a very expensive pair of boots on their way to me in the mail right now #which is stressful for two reasons #one: I do not want the Very Expensive Boots to get lost in the mail #and two: I need these boots for a trip I'm taking in a few weeks so I really need them to arrive asap #anyway all this to say I'm kinda low on practical footwear right now

tribute piece to the 2025 anne shirley anime. i was not expecting to like this anime as much as i did initially going in, but it really captivated me with its gorgeous animation, wholesome vibes, emotional beats, vintage aesthetics, and the CHARACTERS!!

anne was really strong - as she should be, being the protagonist - and this really does feel like an anime for the girls. its uplifting, romantic, fantastical yet real and human. i really loved watching anne's journey and growth from girlhood to womanhood and watching her, as a woman of the 19th century, work for an education and make a career out of her passion. i couldn't recommend it more if ur into period pieces!!
