Hunter, Animal Healer & Head of stables, mews, and dogs at the castle
“Let me have a look at that, save you from having to see a healer later,” Bea commented gesturing to the cut that was on Emilio’s forehead. The two had fallen into a familiar pattern, always preferring to go over the details of a hunt right after they’d arrived back. It was good to go over what had happened and the information gathered whilst everything was still fresh in their minds. Opening up her satchel she brought out a cloth and wetted it with some water from her flask. Felix always made Bea was well stocked up with medical items before she went on a hunt, especially if she was going on one without him. “It doesn’t look bad.” @emiliofurtado
Bea walked into the shop where she knew Felix would be at this time of day. Not seeing him behind the counter she guessed he was out back, Beatrix wouldn’t bother him knowing he’d most likely be out soon. His organisational system made no sense to her, but it seemed to work for Felix. He always knew exactly where things were. “Mornin’, I was wondering if I could get some more of those herbs I got the other day,” Bea greeted seeing her brother-in-law emerge from the back room. “And did you want me to bring you some dinner tonight or will you be home?” @felix-ex-tenebris
wyattnaomi:
“That’s so cool!” Naomi exclaimed. “Wow, that must be a dream job for you. Do you specialize in certain animals?” She found the idea of being a vet at the zoo so much fun, though logically she knew it was probably more mess than anything else.
“Zoological medicine is my specialty,” Bea replied, happy to talk about her job. It was the type of career that a number of people found interesting so she had gotten used to the inquires. At least she could talk about this, unlike her other job as a hunter. “That covers most zoo and wild animals. I did start out in a small veterinary practice though, treating pets. What about you? What do you do?”
sushkxr-khxtri:
It was moments like this where Sushim did appreciate the ingenuity of their co-workers. They didn’t exactly have the most wild sense of humor, but moments like this, to see the paleness in the other man’s eyes at Bea’s suggestion… priceless. “Would be a waste of good resources to use something like that on him,” they mused, pretending to actually give it thought. “I mean, legally, we’re not the ones who are supposed to care for humans, right? Since this is a place for animals, not for humans. So…” the oneiroi pondered, looking over at Beatrix with a grin.
During her few months at the zoo, Bea had learned that her boss could be a rather serious person, but not one void of a funny bone. She forced back a smile as they joined in with her little joke, trying her best to remain serious to keep up the ruse. The poor hapless idiot in front of them certainly hadn’t cottoned on as Sushim seemed to truly consider the option. “True...,” Bea replied with a nod. “I’d hate to see an elephant suffer because we wasted resources.” Bea looked between the drunk man and her boss as if decided what the best course of action would be. “The poor guy is suffering though. It’s a pretty big needle, are you okay with needles?” She asked, her question aimed at the other man.
resiliencic:
Ghost was indeed ready to get his last shot of caffeine before bed, the thing hardly kept him up anymore, and he only noticed his coworker by the time he’d already paid and stepped aside to wait, as well. His brows furrowed before he called her, watching her nervous demeanor. “Bea,” he greeted, hoping not to startle the woman. “Something wrong?”
Bea did consider Ghost, not just a colleague, but also a friend but that didn’t mean she could confide in him about the burning of her tattoo. Shaking her head in reply, Bea let her hand fall so her hair once more covered her tattoo. Usually, Bea had no issue letting people know she was a purifier, but she was in NYC to hunt specifically the black magic users in the Ouroboros. She couldn’t risk letting anyone know in case they were an ally of the Ouro, or a member themselves. “Just been a long day, and my brain is already making a to-do list for tomorrow.”
I’m with Diego, because screw you!

risingblaze:
“Wow, you really know how to kill a joke.” He huffed. Blaze nodded along to her words. “Right, and we all know tacky isn’t me. There’s really nothing cliche about it which I’m sure you’ll see for yourself. Assuming you’re available to come.” He slipped in the words not wanting to directly ask if she was coming, so of course, he was coy about it.
“Nah, I just like any excuse to brag about Tolkien and force his awesomeness on others,” Bea replied with a chuckle. She had many literary heroes, Tolkien being one of them. She smiled at the invitation, which was delivered in such a Blaze like way. He might as well have been asking her to come round to watch the game and have a couple of beers. “For this, I can make myself available. Besides, a wedding full of hunters. I’ll actually have competition when it comes to catching the bouquet.”
quinn--young:
Quinn was not one of the most talkative people and it showed in how he talked to others. He might say something to initiate it but beyond that he had a tendency to not know what to say. Now was no exception. He nodded his head at her answer, but raised a brow considering her actions seemed different then her words. “ Do people walk over your grave often?” He smirked as he looked at the her again. He really wasn’t familiar with the phrase but he wasn’t completely dense despite his lack of education
“Enough that I’d like to think I become quite famous at some point, either that or I’m buried next to a famous person who gets a lot of visitors,” Beatrix joked. She wasn’t sure where the phrase came from, it’s just one she had heard growing up in England that she had naturally adopted without even realising. “That at least sounds more fun than my body being susceptible to changes in temperature.”
caroline-bissett:
Of course she had a daughter. Caroline’s luck just wasn’t that good today. She supposed she did also look into UV protection, although all the protection she needed rested in the ring on her finger. “That seems to be the way it goes,” she murmured her agreement. She didn’t want to think about motherhood anymore, but it seemed it was inescapable today. “Though if you don’t properly take care of yourself, how can you continue to take care of your child?” She pointed out.
Some may have found the redhead's words offensive, but Bea didn’t think that was her intention. If it had been her intention to insult Bea then the hunter decided not to take it as one regardless. She had more important things to worry about then a stranger’s insult. “You’ve probably got a point. The whole put your life jacket on first thing. I’d like to think I take care of myself with the really important things. Although, I suppose your eyesight could be counted as important...”
wyattnaomi:
“Oh you’re a vet here?” Naomi exclaimed, then shook her head. “Of course, sorry, white coat.” She laughed, continuing to shake her head at herself. “It’s nice to meet you too, Bea. So how long have you been a vet here? That’s so cool, this seems like a dream job.”
Bea nodded in answer to the first question, chuckling a little along with Noami. “Don’t worry, even with the white coat people don’t tend to jump to vet in a zoo. We are rather behind the scenes, and we don’t always wear white coats. Go into a few enclosures wearing white and you’d soon find out why. Not long at all, coming up to three months.”
percyxmoreau:
“Uh…sorry, I think I grabbed your….tea? Is it?” Percy hand’t glanced when he’d picked up his drink, distracted by his phone when he took a sip and realized it wasn’t his coffee, black– but green tea. “I can get you a new one, unless you like black coffee which,” he nodded to the one that just came up in an offer of exchange if she was so inclined.
Someone’s voice broke Bea out of her own thoughts, hand dropping from her neck as she turned her gaze on to the man. Bea wrinkled her nose at the offer but decided to give the guy a break. Hell, she had made similar mistakes in the past. Once she even picked up the wrong baby, but Bea forgave herself for that one as she realised before she had even finished standing up. “It’s kind of you to offer, but coffee has never been... well my cup of tea. I can order another, besides, I think the name Bea suits you.” She joked, gesturing to the name that was written on one side of the cup.
