I’m excited to be a part of the Marvel universe because I grew up with it.

Clayton listened and couldn’t hide his disappointment at the lack of any further details. He was hoping for something more from the other man’s personal thoughts and memories. But it was very clinical. He let out a deep sigh,·“I read that in the report. What I was hoping for was your opinion on the encounter. Her training. The fact that they knew where to go is already disturbing enough. I am going to tell you that these self-styled Ouroboros feel like they have eyes and ears everywhere.”
Blaze almost let out an aggravated huff at the major’s words. He wouldn’t tell him that he blacked out, he enjoyed killing her, or that he’d do it again just for the _fun _of it. That shit would end up with him in a mental hospital. “Fine. From what I witnessed she was precise. Except her issue was that she was impatient. Wanted her job to be over quickly, too hot-headed meaning she wasn’t thinking over her strategies - if you can call them that. - I don’t think that’s what they train like in Ouroboros hence why I didn’t say anything. If she did train with them she didn’t follow through normal protocols. But again, from what I’ve been witnessing or hearing about, each member has a different fighting style. So trying to pinpoint an exact one for them all would be pointless at best. -- That’s because they do. It’s obvious. The fact that Sharpe knew where that safe house was in the first place knew that. In my personal opinion, they have their hands in every major outlet, there’s police, fire brigades, doctors, scientists, nurses. They’re everywhere whether anyone chooses to believe that or not, it's obvious, how else would they get the shit they do or plan done. Next time you go to your local coffee shop you bet your ass you’ve probably spoken to one of them.”·

“Nah, I just like any excuse to brag about Tolkien and force his awesomeness on others,” Bea replied with a chuckle. She had many literary heroes, Tolkien being one of them. She smiled at the invitation, which was delivered in such a Blaze like way. He might as well have been asking her to come round to watch the game and have a couple of beers. “For this, I can make myself available. Besides, a wedding full of hunters. I’ll actually have competition when it comes to catching the bouquet.”
“I figured.” The male almost laughed at her reply, almost. He closed his eyes for a moment as if regretting his statement before looking at her again. “Yeah and id any of you start shit I’ll personally kill you all myself.” It would’ve been funnier if he hadn’t been deadly serious about it.
calxrhodes:
A blush crept on already tinted cheeks at his words, everything feeling so much more real now that they stood there, his words spoken only for her and the minister to hear, who smiled as he gave them their moment together. “You too.” She spoke, her voice soft as if she were shy. Which she was. She tried to study every angle of his face beneath the red veil, something that was hard to do and yet it almost seemed he looked changed, different, even. When the minister started speaking, she knew she had to divert her eyes, or else she’d not be able to follow what was said and when her queue was, yet her hand remained in his, sometimes giving it a gentle squeeze, stealing a look from his eyes every now and then.
As Calypso turned to face the minister, his eyes remained on her. He couldn’t even believe he got this far. If you told him a year or so ago he’d be marrying the love of his life and settling down. He’d straight up stab you in the neck for even suggesting such a ridiculous circumstance for him. But here they were, and there she was. He’d never smiled so much when he had been in that moment. In fact, he hadn’t smiled like that since his parents were killed. It was then he knew he’d made the right call. She was his light when everything around him was too dark. When he himself had submerged beneath it all. He squeezed her hands back glancing to the minister for a brief moment to acknowledge him before looking back towards Calypso as the minister began to ask them to repeat after him.

“Because we’re having a conversation and that’s what people do. Unless you’re content to just brood in silence. It really kills the mood. But wait,” Percy rolled his eyes at his new “friend”, if you could call Blaze that, “let me guess–– if people have a problem with your mood, they can leave? Or deal with it. Still debating which is more of a you think to say, Esquer.” They’d known each other for a few weeks now and while Percy didn’t mind the other, there was something amusing about his perpetually serious, practically joyless attitude. It took a lot of effort to keep up the front and the consistency was something Percy could admire.
“Do they really?” He snorted sarcastically. Blaze pretended to think about it for no more than five seconds before giving a curt nod. “Bit of both honestly sounds about right.” He hummed. Secretly though he was surprised the other had stuck around for so long, even if it wasn’t long at all. Most people would’ve given up on trying to talk to him within a couple of days. Strangely enough, Blaze found it rather commendable to a certain degree. It took a lot to handle the hunter’s ways.
beatrix-tremblay-oakes·:
Chuckling at his dramatics Beatrix shook her head slightly, “I mean. There’s still a chance. My father has the same job Tolkien held at Oxford and he met the Queen,” Bea replied jokingly. Her father was a great professor, but he didn’t hold a candle to Tolkien. “Very true, and the most lavish of weddings can still be tacky. Just try to avoid cliches like the conga, unless you both are really passionate about it.”
“Wow, you really know how to kill a joke.” He huffed. Blaze nodded along to her words. “Right, and we all know tacky isn’t me. There’s really nothing cliche about it which I’m sure you’ll see for yourself. Assuming you’re available to come.” He slipped in the words not wanting to directly ask if she was coming, so of course, he was coy about it.

@risingblaze
A red veil covered her head, clouding her sight, but if she saw anything clear, it was him. It was a good thing she had Jonah by her side, for if she hadn’t she would’ve run down the aisle just to stand by his side and hold his hands. Her heart raced, and a deep breath escaped her every now and then. She was glad others weren’t able to see her face as she passed them. He looked stunning underneath the arch of cherry blossom trees, angelic, almost. But she wouldn’t say that to him, already knowing how he’d respond. By the time she made it to the end of the aisle, her heart skipped a beat as her hand was lifted from her brother’s hand to her fiancee’s, smiling at him as she stepped next to him, hoping he could see the hope it held.
With his siblings by his side, the only thing that would’ve made this more perfect is if his parents were here along with his little sister. Surprisingly, he was a lot more nervous than showed. His heart stammering in his chest only to skip several beats when his eyes met his soon-to-be wife who was now walking towards him. Perfection. That’s all he could see. And yes, maybe he shed a quick tear only for him to quickly wipe it away before anyone could see. He could finally breathe again when her hand was in his. “You look perfect, as always.” He murmured for her ears only before lifting the back of her hand to his lips giving it a gentle kiss. “Gorgeous.” He breathed looking her over again with pure and utter adoration.
beatrix-tremblay-oakes·:
“Snooty? I just blame that on the English accent. People here it and presume I’ve had tea with the Queen,” Beatrix joked, knowing that wasn’t the case with Blaze. He’d known Bea long enough to know she had never had tea with the Queen, or any member of the royal family. “Vegas? No way. I mean, go and elope, but go somewhere less tacky. Be more original when you run off with your bride.”
He mock gasped putting a hand to his chest. “I thought you had done, have I been lied to this entire time?” He shrugged slightly, “It’s only tacky if you make it so. But I guess you’re right, that’s not my style anyway.”
calxrhodes:
“I know – I know.” She breathed, knowing that she had to set aside the superstition many had already thrown her way. Their wedding had to be postponed, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t going to happen. “One more postponing and we’re going to elope.” She joked, running her hand over his arm only for it to rest on his lower arm. “We’ll get there.”
Placing a kiss to her head he hummed softly. “We’ve got this. No more postponing I promise.” And he meant it, he hated postponing their wedding just as much as she did. “Of course we will, this is us.”
everettupshall:
Everett hung his head in shame. He deserved to be chewed out, but that didn’t make the experience fun. “You’re right. I need to be more careful next time. The fact that I’m in a rush doesn’t excuse what I did.” He didn’t really know what to say or do to make the situation better. “I just wanted to make sure you were okay.”
“Obviously I’m right.” He rolled his eyes groaning out a sigh. “Well, I’m fine.” He looked the other male over quirking up an eyebrow for a split second. “What the hell are you in such a rush for anyway?”
percyxmoreau:
“You’re not gonna even try to make me believe it?” Percy gave an amused sigh that doubled in mock-disappointment, “serious points lost for lack of effort, Esquer–– where’s your creativity.”
“Why would I?” It seemed pretty pointless to drag it out to him anyway. “Ha, you say that like I’m meant to give a shit. --- I have creativity, whether or I care to share it is another matter.” He huffed out the smallest of laughs.
sabinevolkova·:
“Oh, you are,” the vampire deadpanned without looking at him. Only when his feet appeared somewhere other than the floor did her attention lift from her work. “And you may want to remove your feet from the desk,” she countered, expression cold.
A small smirk formed on his lips at that. “Glad to know the title still holds then.” He glanced at his feet for a second before looking back to her. “Where’s the fun in that? -- Are you going to spank me, mistress?”
themayor-calloway·:
Clayton looked over at the hunter that was now one of his bodyguards. Considering the words, because it was always the idea for him and the city his was responsible for. But the world wasn’t fair or just without being made such by people of strong vision and conviction. Clayton knew that evil existed, that their were monsters in the dark and that when humanity lead with fear terrible things happened. He nodded in agreement with the younger man’s statement, “Being afraid shows common sense.” He paused for a moment then asked, “Officer Esquer, can you tell me in your own words about the safe house attack those months ago? I’ve read the reports but words on paper don’t really paint a picture for me. What and who do you think this city is really dealing with?”
It was weird to think that he was actually a bodyguard for someone. He knew it’d probably take some getting used to at least. The title at least. The job itself isn’t much different to what he’s already doing in his eyes. “Common sense is knowledge or whatever that saying is.” He lifted an eyebrow at the other’s words briefly pausing. At first, he thought he should simplify it but then, what was the point. Besides, it wasn’t like him to not be straight forward. “I was I guess you can say being a bodyguard for Emily Ramirez, protecting her if you will. My partner was taken and while on guard a wolf attacked with the intention of killing Ramirez. I shot the wolf, one of the so-called Ouroboros, point blank between the eyes and killed her. The end.” He wasn’t about to say that’s what he needed to do, because heck, even he knew there probably could’ve been another way out. But he still showed no remorse. Fatima was indeed already wounded when he pulled the trigger.
everettupshall:
Everett was holding his backpack in front of him, open as he searched through it for his keys. He knew that was a dangerous thing to do while walking, but he thought he left the stove on and was in a hurry to get home. He didn’t even realize his shoe was untied until he tripped over his shoe lace. He caught himself before he fell on his face, but in an effort to do so, he dropped his backpack on someone’s foot. He began apologizing profusely. “Are you okay? I’m so sorry. I did not mean to do that. Can you walk on that foot?” He rushed to pick his backpack up.
“Son of a bitch!” Blaze grunted before looking as though he was snarling at the other male. “So you should be. What the hell are you playing at? -- I don’t care if you’re in a rush at least watch where you’re fucking going. Obviously, I can still walk on it idiot do you think I’d be standing straight if I couldn’t.”
percyxmoreau:
Percy shifted, amusement easily crossing his demeanor as the other’s story unfolded, “I’ll give you points for creativity, really, several points actually, but–” he laughed and shook his head, “I don’t buy it for one second.” Thought who was to say if he actually did or didn’t, disbelief had always been an easy enough thing to portray.
Blaze hummed softly before shrugging once. “I don’t expect you to buy it because it was, in fact, complete and utter bullshit. You’re welcome.” It wasn’t often the hunter was friendly, if that’s what you could call this, but luckily for Percy, he caught Blaze on a good day.
resiliencic:
Ghost usually had better control over his body, but hey, let the man live sometimes. He was a little tipsy on magical vodka today, and his 200+ year of experience piloting this body didn’t matter once the alcohol kicked in. “Oops. Sorry, doc,” he cleared his throat, tapping the guy on the back just a little too harshly. “Lost my balance, no need to get frisky.”
At his words, Blaze’s eyebrow quirked up. His eyes automatically rolled before snorting softly. “Maybe you should just be more careful.” He spoke doing his best not to grit his teeth. “You may piss off the wrong people.”
beatrix-tremblay-oakes·:
“Oh, I don’t need you to tell me how witty I am. I already know that,” Bea replied, purposefully trying to annoy him just like a sister might try to annoy a brother. She couldn’t help but laugh as Blaze groaned.·“Trust me, I get it. I have done a dual major at an ivy league school, raised twins, and neither of them were half as stressful as planning my wedding was. I can honestly say it was worth it though. Two months though, wow.”·
“Well, now you just sound snooty.” It wasn’t hard to annoy Blaze, in fact, it was almost as if she went for a home run and got it first try. “I’m half tempted to take her to Vegas at this point. -- Yeah you’re telling me time flies.”
