I'm no longer breathing...
One of the things I loved about Andor was that Cassian goes on his big ‘this will change your mind’ mission heist. Instead of choosing to join the rebellion at the end of it because he’s seen how it’s the right thing, he runs. I love that he runs. He sees how hard the fight will be and what he’s expected to do and is like fuck no I’m out.
It’s not until he experiences the truth, that the empire will never stop intruding into his life, even when he is trying to live peacefully, that he turns himself over to Luthen. It’s not until he sees there is no other way that he says ‘I’m ready now.’ It’s such a human take. We try and choose peace when given the chance. People don’t want to fight for their lives, even good people, even for a good cause. We want to live and love quietly but fascism will never leave space for it.
Not a single soul bothered to talk about this cameo?
I am bizarrely proud of Diego Luna, like I have anything at all to do with his Golden Globe nomination.
The Weapons of Rogue One
It's so well deserved that Diego has been nominated for best actor in a drama series and Andor for best drama series ✨
People who are unable to suspend their disbelief are so boring. Like holy shit you discovered this fictional story does not 100% correlate with our reality? Should we call CNN? Should we invite Beyoncé?
I just started this new show from Tegan and Sara but someone just reminded me that the third season of His Dark Materials is now airing!
I shatter a little bit watching Cassian holding his hands when giving a hug to hold the person tighter, closer, longer…
reblog this if you’re jewish or your blog is a safe space for jewish people
in light of recent events as well as a new rise in creating nazi ocs I think this post is an important one to have on your blog if you stand behind your jewish followers or are jewish yourself.

I hope Cassian’s sister makes it. Wherever she is, I hope she’s safe. I hope she’s okay, or as okay as she can be, but. I just hope she has the chance to be, even if she’s not right now.
People have already said it I know, but just to say it again: Cassian’s story is one that is steeped in death. Everyone who he deeply cares for he loses. And it’s there from the very beginning. Right off the bat, Cassian loses his sister when Maarva takes him off Kenari. He’s lost her from the start. Their relationship is severed, they’ll likely never see each other ever again. It should be hopeless. It is hopeless.
But that doesn’t stop Cassian from trying, does it?
Going back and rewatching that very first scene in the brothel, when he’s talking to the woman about his missing sister, it hit me— he asks for her name. It’s an odd question to ask about your sister, who you should know the name of very well. The woman even looks at him funny when he asks. “None of us use real names.” There are only two reasons you would ask something like that: you’re lying about being her brother, or you don’t remember it.
Cassian doesn’t remember his sister’s name.
And maybe he was asking for her fake name, yeah, but look at his face. That’s not the face of a man who’s curious about a fake name. That’s the face of a man who is desperate for any kind of information he can hold on to, anything that will help him remember.
He’s clinging to the barest memory he has of a little girl he left behind, and he’s still looking. Cassian is desperate to find her, to keep that small sliver of hope that she’s not dead, that he hasn’t lost everyone he loves, alive. Against all odds, he still fights for her, even if he doesn’t realize it.
And, to me, the biggest reason why she needs to make it is this: because we know that he doesn’t.
Let her life be his victory. Let his hope live on in her. Let her life continue his rebellion. Let his life go on in hers, even if she doesn’t remember him. Just please, please let her make it.
I can't for the life of me deal with cinephiles who are haughty when it comes to speed watching.
You can't make me feel bad when I belong to those who have (undiagnosed) auDHD who find extremely long runtimes challenging.
