Hello and welcome to our system comic blog!

Our system is called the Beau Burrow system and we use the name Beau collectively, with they/he pronouns for the system itself.

This blog exists purely to sort all of our system art into one place and show you, the audience, our experience as a traumagenic system. Will also feature other non-comic art that we make of the system

Our work may occasionally go into heavier or mature subject material, proceed with caution.

Uploads likely won’t ever be consistent, there’s no scheduled date for uploads

You probably already know this, but nonetheless, mandatory disclaimer: my experiences don’t speak for all plural experiences, our experiences are only our own. I’m not a monolith of what plural experiences are always like, so please don’t feel bad if you can’t/don’t relate.

do alters only split when trauma is involved, or do they just show up whenever they want?

Hmm… Well, I think speaking generally there’s a wide range of reasons for why someone could split, so theoretically in general they could just show up whenever they want, but for us specifically as far as we know it’s???? Mostly just been trauma?? It’s specifically been whenever there’s a severe enough amount of emotional distress in one single moment that it causes enough internal conflict within one alter for them to split into a whole new guy. Though, I will say I think the introjects probably just formed on their own when we developed a strong kinship with and emotional attachment to a fictional character

I’ve already answered “are there any items that belong to a specific alter” but I haven’t answered 🍀 “what’s the weirdest thing you’ve overheard another alter say?”

They like to chatter in the background amongst themselves all the time about the randomest of shit and every now and then I glimpse into their conversations. I mostly forget whatever they’re on about but at one point I think Mordred was explaining to someone what Mufasa in The Lion King meant by “before sunrise, he’s your son” when Simba was waking his parents up early?? I always struggled to understand that one so in the middle of doing chores & preparing lunch I stopped to listen in and hear Mordred explain that it was a reference to how “everything the light touches is your kingdom” so essentially it was a joke about how simba is not his responsibility before the sun rises because he’s not his kingdom if the sunlight isn’t touching him, and therefore he’s his mother’s responsibility, which he obv doesn’t literally believe and is just joking about, but an interesting random ass thing for my alters to be chattering about in the back of my head. I never understood that line before and it always puzzled me, so I was surprised to hear one of us had a good guess about it. Still not fully sure if they interpreted it correctly though lmao

1. Axel! He’s our chaosnaut, essentially a being of chaos that exists to create and live in total chaos, and that pairs a lot with him being an energy holder

2. Some video games that are specific to certain alters, like Hollow Knight is for Erin, Minecraft for the introjects, horror games for Mordred & Axel, etc.

3. Our introjects are the most inhuman out of all of us, and hmmm… I’d say the silliest creature out of the 4 of them is Jasper, a shapeshifter !! He prefers feline forms but also dragon and elk and can take any shape he wants !!
