Here is the prompt list for the BTR AU WEEK creative challenge taking place from September 1st to September 6th, 2025!
When posting please make sure themes/topics/content are APPROPRIATELY TAGGED, and use the #btrauweek25 so we can all find each other's works to celebrate. I would love a tag, but it's not necessary :) <3
All forms of creative submissions are accepted, as well as any topics/themes/content that get your creative juices flowing! This challenge is meant to help these ideas flourish, not hinder anyone's creative ability. In exchange, I ask that everything about your submission is APPROPRIATELY TAGGED so others can decide if they wish to engage with your content. NO HATE WILL BE TOLERATED. This is a creative challenge - what creatively excites you may not creatively excite someone else and vice versa. Don't be a dick about it, just scroll on. It's actually that simple!

Pick a new time/era for Big Time Rush (and/or related characters) to exist!!
Ex: a favorite period in (pre)history, a future society, a favorite decade, a parallel universe
Bonus: include research, guitar, and/or a village in your creation!
Tuesday, September 2nd: Different location au
Pick a new setting (real or fictional) for Big Time Rush (and/or related characters) to explore!!
ex: New York City, Camp Halfblood, Seoul, Camelot, Hawk Records
Bonus: include bread, paper, and/or midnight in your creation!
Wednesday, September 3rd: Age-old classic/fanfiction favorite au
Pick a classic fanfiction au to center a Big Time Rush (and/or related characters) creation around!!
Ex: coffee shop au, college au, road trip au, mafia au, sold to BTR au
Bonus: include your favorite color, favorite food, and/or favorite season in your creation!!
Thursday, September 4th: Different profession/species au
Pick a new profession/species for the boys of Big Time Rush (and/or related characters)!!
Ex: spy au (but for real this time), supernatural creature au, athlete au, ghost hunter au
Bonus: include a piano, a basket, and/or a river in your creation!!
Friday, September 5th: Something didn’t happen au
Pick a major event (canon or not) in the Big Time Rush boys (and/or related characters) lives to eliminate!!
Ex: Logan never moves as a child, big time audition doesn’t happen, only Kendall is taken to Los Angeles, big time dreams never occurs
Bonus: include poetry, a pie, and/or a studio in your creation!!
Saturday, September 6th: Optional free day au
Not seeing something on the list? That’s okay! Post it today! Or having multiple ideas for any of the other days? Post it today!
Bonus: include an examination, the internet, and/or a salad in your creation!!
