I was wondering if you could help me with my photo editing problem. I use waifu2x to edit my photos for my animals crossing blog but there are some parts that aren't very sharp looking and are kinda blurry. Is there anything else I could do to fix this? Thanks :)

I use Photoshop’s “unsharp” filter to further sharpen the image (set the radius from 0.5 to 1, and mess around with the other setting to find a good balance of sharpness). Then I’ll run it through waifu2x a second time, and maybe sharpen again.

It took a lot of messing around to figure out how to make my edits the way I do. I just try to make each new one a little better than the last by trying something new. For example, in my last one I tried replicating the effect you get when something is silhouetted by a bright light source behind it. The light tends to “bleed” over the fringe of the silhouette (I don’t know the technical term). In this one I improved on that effect (applied mostly to the candelabra). I’d encourage you to take things step by step like that and experiment a lot C: If you’re interested, I plan on making a comprehensive tutorial for my methods, but I might need to review my video editing skills first to put it together.
