Seriously, this. When I was is 2nd grade, there was a boy who relentlessly bullied me. My aunts and grandparents would say things like “he must like you!” When I would come home crying most days because of how mean he was. Even looking back as an adult, I don’t see a single speck of him having a crush on me, I just see a disgusting guy who isolated me as a target for not being a normal kid.
