The Peak of Learning
So much that I know,
So much I do not. This is
The peak of learning.
Wishing death
It is passing strange
To wish death upon someone
For the greater good.
Is There Despair?
Is there despair? Yes.
But it can’t define who we are
And what we will become.
Your Own Enemy
You can easily
Turn into your enemy.
Time to rise above.
A Koan
He spoke in silence,
Heard by touch, saw by tasting,
Ran by standing still.
When I Was Younger
When I was younger,
I knew many things. But now,
Only a handful.
Death Bed
Her family round her,
She did not suffer but slipped
Peacefully away.
Sandhill Cranes
Above, sandhill cranes
Announce their arrival with
Prehistoric cries.
Low Whisper
In this close silence,
I hear the flow of my blood,
Like a low whisper.
I Cannot Follow
I cannot follow.
Seems I would rather be lost
Than to trail behind.
Ascend the Mountain
Ascend the mountain.
Take your time and catch your breath.
Remember the goal.
Nowhere to Nowhere
There is no dying,
Just endless cycles of time,
Nowhere to nowhere.
Your Hands
When I think of you,
I think of your hands--long and
Strong and delicate.
People Despairing
I hear all of you,
But don’t know what to do with
Such intense despair.
Terrorists at the Border
And the jack-booted
Terrorists take the children
From their own parents.
Living in the Light
The marsh lives in light,
Colors changing by the hour.
Now, a golden glow.
Forgetting Myself
Forgetting myself:
I did not recognize me,
Even my own name.
